Pluto in the 12th House - The Closing Ceremony
Pluto is formidable and intense, and the 12th house is by no means a delicate house. A toxic whirlpool blows through Pisces seas, thrusting the individual into the depths of the unknown, taken hostage by invisible forces. She is always being followed by energies of the spirit, energising her and draining her, she can be inspired and rapidly tumble into despair. It can feel like fate directs life with Pluto in the 12th. Intuition can generate through powerful ways, every inner essence and sensory outlet is marked and responsive. The psychic sonar is sensitive and operates like a vacuum, wildly drawing in every visible and invisible frequency she stands within. It’s like wherever she goes she wields a psychic wild storm, she stands in the middle conducting invisible forces like an orchestra, participating in two powerful worlds at once. The soul of humanity is however, not invisible, it can be the only true thing she identifies with. This can make her a natural medium, psychologist, spiritualist, philosopher, or healer.
The 12th house relates to the aspects of human life that are shielded from vision. These are things like prisons, asylums, rehabilitation centres, and exiled cults. The individual frequently visits these places of separation in her own isolation. She knows what it is to fight against forces as a child without any weapons, she knows the feeling of wondering if she will lose her mind or if it has already happened. She knows the feeling of addicts in recluse, because her body longs to create in the same way it desires self destruction. She knows the feeling of hungering escape, wanting to taste and touch God in any form you think can offer salvation. This sort of carnal intimacy with the human condition generates the depth healer, the healer of soul and spiritual sickness, the healer of broken hearts. But this capacity for power, this impressive potential she has to touch the lives of others and transform their whole existence requires remarkable cultivating. The 12th house has a weak energy on the material plane, so its energies are special in the sense they require nurturing, the unconscious must be approached with ego in its trail, the individual willing to be vulnerable and swept into oblivion. Because Pluto and the 12th house are so secretive and hidden, much of this activity often occurs unseen, the individual is smiling or laughing or celebrating but there is a turbulent hurricane inside. She finds a way to conceal her exhaustion, lethargy, or sense of losing control. It can be like deliriously wandering through a remote island with Pluto in the 12th. There may have been exposure to early betrayal, abandonment, or violence that made the individual feel different or lonely.
Dreams are sacred portals, the individual summons tremendous power here, the state of dream can call relentlessly, the ego can long to escape into these realms. The development of compassion and empathy is integral with Pluto in the 12th, it’s often a slow process that involves confronting inner demons, self sacrifice, isolation, and fierce, uncontrollable, and suffocating emotional experiences. Emotions, betrayal, the pain caused by others can become buried so deep that only the probing psychoanalysis of Pluto can uncover and recover these wounds. To find land, she must learn the art of complete selflessness and vulnerability. That can seem easy, but it isn’t for somebody who may have been betrayed, abandoned, forced into exile, or treated badly in the moments she has become vulnerable. The individual is notably private, and she can keep secrets for the sheer sake of doing so. She builds walls around herself ingrained with codes, so unpuzzling this person can be impossible. And this space of solitude she creates for herself become a throne guarded by Hades himself, placed in the undersea unconscious, waiting to bring souls home, a kingdom of unconscious treasure chests.
