We got asked if this is cute and okay. I can very happily say yes, this is stupid cute and those are happy porcupine noises. 

One of my favorite things about doing zoo work was all the noises you never realize the animals make when they’re excited or interested in a new thing. Coatimundis squeak and snuffle, and giant porcupines make that sound.

hey fellas i really hate to do this but as of now i don’t really have a choice lol

my name’s todd, im an 18 year old nonbinary gay guy from colorado, and i’m sleeping in my friend’s closet. not as bad as it sounds honestly. but the point is, for a number of reasons, I’ve decided to leave home. only thing is… i work a minimum wage job that doesn’t exactly pay well. so suffice to say, i’m sorta broke right now. i need money for a lot of things: food, transportation, and, most importantly, funds to help me move to a better and more stable environment where i can hopefully recover from the past 18 years of my life lmao.

the situation has escalated quicker than i wanted/needed it to. my mom asked if i was moving out and i chose to be honest and say yes. she’s asked that i give her my keys when i stop by to get my birth certificate tomorrow morning. additionally, she has asked that i gather the rest of my belongings. essentially this has gone from an “im running away” situation to an “im being kicked out” situation. there’s no longer any turning back for me. i would appreciate any help i can get, please.

what ‘academia is inaccessible’ means: much academic writing is financially difficult to acquire and also a lot of it builds on context and area of study-specific vocabulary that the author expects you to already be familiar with, making it difficult to ‘break in’
