Patrickās first solo appearance was at the SXSW Music Festival in March of 2010. He played āAs Long As I Know Iām Getting Paid,ā āLove Selfish Love,ā a cover of Bobby Womackās āIf You Think Youāre Lonely Now,ā and this song, which he hasnāt released (commonly referred to as āPhonebookā). Ā Rather than playing with a backing band as he did the following year, Patrick played each instrument and looped the sounds to create the songāwhich was both complicated and probably stressful for his first public appearance as a solo artist (without the technical assistance he had in Fall Out Boy). It was a bumpy ride. Ā About 50 seconds into this song, his guitar cable comes unplugged leading to a moment that I wish was less comical than it is, though he recovered nicely.
I should add heās played Phonebook publicly one other time: at the GBS Foodstock concert on October 31, 2009. Ā Someoneās uploaded a video of that performance (with slightly different lyrics) here.
This is mesmerizing to watch.
actually physically painful to watch because you know months were spent masking all those frames for each of the kajillions of transitions in this

support aces of colour who are struggling to reclaim their sexuality while being actively fetishized, hypersexualized, and/or desexualized based on their race and intersections of neuro-atypicality, physical disability, etc.
iām op of this post (iāve since changed my url) and the amount of bloggers who have reblogged this and tagged it with some variation of āthank youā shows you how important it is to recognize people of colour who are on the ace spectrum
Ok but when I first read this, I thought it meant the red playing cards, and I was like, "Why do the aces of diamonds and hearts need support?"
This post generator is surprisingly coherentĀ
āthe difference between crows and ravens is that crows romanticize sinā
all right pack it up folks, we canāt compete with factory-produced posts of this quality
i got rick-rolled kinda
This is my new favorite thing.
When you try to think of a portmanteau of winter and spring
and you decide to just WING it.
If you're sent to the stocks then the gallows
is it a haranguing and a hanging?
The best response to "hola"
is honestly "holla back."

i had a dream last night where the hot new trend was makingĀ āmonksonaās which was basically just like ⦠urself. but as a medieval monk
in the dream i went way into the details of mine but i forgot it all? I think I was a Cistercian brother in west Germany. and i did a lot of calligraphy but my latin was bad so i mainly copied things.
this meme was so serious in my head i got so into it man
#mine would be like gregor mendel but he can also do parkourĀ (x)
i knew telling this website about this dream was a good idea
Mine would be a Gregorian chanter who spends his free time doing maths and reciting scripture backwards.
