Brew dog.
Must be IPA day...
A well balanced IPA, to me, doesn't look or taste red, but it's very good. Juicy fruity hops, a dash of malt at the end, just the way I like it.
Long over due.
Pairings are fun.
Perrin IPA sampler.
The main event, so grateful for a girlfriend that indulges my nerdy tastings….I don’t think she minds too much though…happy St. Paddy’s, all.
My tasting adventure continues. Like just about any double IPA...but with just a hint of something curious confirmed as wild fermentation by the fine print on the label.
Guinness cheddar dip for Thursday.
A big farmy IPA, my first experience with Mikkeller. Does not disappoint.
Another Oregon IPA, awesome blend of hops, hidden alcohol for a double. Pretty spoiled with beer in Michigan, but I like every opportunity I get to try beer that I can’t get here.
One of the new IPAs. Loaded with Galaxy hops, bitter and tropical.
How Saugatuck Brewery made their Lord Stanley’s III in VI Stout.
I mean, bollocks to the Blackhawks, but this is pretty neat.
And one more. My favorite brewery. When I scrolled through everyone posting this, I thought they had made a popcorn beer (just look at the label) and I couldn't wait to try it. Instead it's just the best sour fruit beer I've ever tasted. (We're eating popcorn with it, though.)
Sharing this one with my love. Great mango flavor and a really nice zing from the peppers...much more than a "hint."
Wheat ale with agave, pretty much like a honey wheat, but I like it.
New IPA #2. Double IPA, getting some floral and grassy notes from this one.
