...been a while since I tackled digital painting.  thought it’d be fun to practice on him.  I must have started this picture three or four times before actually going through with it.  not perfect, but I think I did what I wanted.  drawn with a screencap for reference.

I have a TRON based au idea and it's kind of pointless and not fleshed out. I don't know if its worth posting for kakagai week. Hmmm.

eternally-youth payed me for gai and kakashi to have an extra hour in the ballpit

it was 17k + 5k for an extra character

they are contemplating everything that could have ever gone wrong

so I had all these ambitions about drawing actual AU stuff for either actual-green beast au, or kadabbs's greaser au, or awkward-crow's futbol or ballet au or IDK...and all I managed was a stupid sketch.

I am so out of practice. T_T *tries again*

Chapter 4- 675 Comparison/Artwork Development

I did not realize until today--(or maybe I knew when I installed it and then promptly forgot)--but Sculptris comes with three models: a human head, a human body (roughly) and another head of some sort.

I might be lazy enough to use the pre-made body as a base.

So far, I've just been screen-capping my models in sculptris because I hadn't figured out how to render idkwhybutijustcouldn'tfindatutorialthatmadeitmakesense.

But now I know how to render in Blender, so BEWARE. I am armed and dangerous.

I'll be a lot more effective once I figure out where to put this darn camera, though.

Gave up on Kakashi because of his hair, so I figured I'd go back to trying with Gai.  Not done, and I reverted back to symmetry and messed up his hair, but I'll fix that again later.

idk, not perfect, but I'm liking it so far.  not liking the vest one bit, though.

Crappy hairspikes ahoy! Not totally happy with his face either yet, but much happier with this than the first Kakashi model I managed to make. Making progress...though it's 4am, I should probably make progress towards bed.

Wow, I just cannot figure out how to do decent hairspikes in sculptris. T_T

(Someone might be having too much fun. It's only my second time opening the program and the sculpt is not anywhere near perfect, but already I'm sold.  Though I've decided I need nose references if I do characters (and lip references...the mouth sucks).  And maybe to do this as one piece next time.)

Ogling more art.   found yet another artist I can only aspire to be like.  I'd seen their Tenzo pic before, then spotted a Kakashi in the Kakashi tags, and then a KakaIru was reblogged by a journal I watch.  

Oh, how I wish I could do Gai and Kakashi art that pretty.  Darn you KakaIru with your plethora of pretty art! *shakes fist at* XD

Not perfect, but since I didn't have any internet for a couple days, and have a ton of roleplay DiNozzo icons...well.  This happened.

Gonna try and maintain this as a artblog, I think.

We'll...see how well that goes. 

Gai & Kakashi in suits because the Oscars are...well, I was gonna say tomorrow, but it's now well into today, so the Oscars are today and thus we have boys in suits getting a photo taken.  And Gai's in the way because of reasons.

[[EDIT:oops, and after telling myself all night I'd remember, I still forgot to add: reference used for Kakashi's pose, but not Gai's (which I'm sure is obvious).  RDJr has the perfect casual stance for a suit and I knew before I went looking for the ref image that was the one I wanted.]]
