A brand new Sonic spin-off movie is coming on December 22, 2028. This is likely the long rumored Shadow spin-off movie.

Also, happy December! This month, Sonic 3 will turn 1 year old. Wow! Time files so fast.

The untitled Sonic spin-off movie is referred as an “Event” like Knuckles which sold hinted that the movie will be a Shadow movie. Maybe, we could see Shadow teaming up with Randall with Knuckles and Wade? Or maybe with Rouge and Agent Stone?

Hope to see more Sonic 4 updates next year! Wish everybody working on the movie good luck on filming Sonic 4. Can't wait to see!

So, the concept modeler who did the models for Sonic 3 is returning to work on Sonic 4. He worked on the models for movies filming in the UK including Sonic 3 which took place in London. So, I guess this means they will be filming in the UK again instead of Vancouver?

Also, He start working on the models for the next one last month.

Heiko Von Drengenberg will return to work on Sonic 4. He previously worked on the storyboards for the first Sonic movie. Also, an new storyboard artist named Anna Lencioni (Tangled) will worked on the movie. Credits goes to Justin61894350 from Twitter for the information.

We only have 3 months of this year left! We still don't know much about Sonic 4 yet. However, we know that Jeff and the others are pretty much working very hard on what they will show for the next movie.

Recently Colleen (Tails) was asked about Sonic 4 at West Tennessee Comic Con. She said that they just started working on the script and she think it might start filming early next year or sometime later next year. Tim Miller said he have saw some early concept art earlier this year according to an interview back on May. I listed anything we know so far about Sonic 4 so far in this list that I created not too long ago. Rumor is that they did some test filming in Vancouver. I randomly found this Facebook post about some Sonic filming in Ladysmith which the first movie was filmed there. It could be related to the rumored February filming that was listed on Production List earlier this year. Also, the writers seem to be open to Jim coming back in Sonic 4.

So, this is all we know so far. Since, the movie won't be out a while. I'm not surprised we haven't got much so far this year. We are likely expected to get more information about Sonic 4 next year.

Also, fun fact, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Heroes used the same engine that all of the Burnout games used. Criterion Games which made the Burnout games made the engine.

Rouge's character reference sheet for my story on AO3. She comes later in the story after plot happens and I've been itching to get hers done before I post her chapter. I have also decided to redo Shadow, Sonic, Blaze, and Silver's sheets now that I have spent more time practicing and sketching them. (I actually already have Shadow's and Sonic's sketched out)

Just check out the list of movies that will be coming on March 2027 when Sonic 4 is out on. There is an animated movie from Sony that will be coming out before Sonic 4 is out. I heard this animated movie is about talking plants.

Also, it's look like the movie is going to be out in Germany a little early. According to KinoCheck, it will be out in cinemas (theaters) there on March 18. Movies tend to be out on Thursdays in Germany. Thanks again to fuzeryy1205 from Twitter for finding this.
