Prince Zane thing I just thought of :

Alright so, what we've seen so far in the Royal Magic shorts, Zane can seem to control WHO gets controlled by his music.

Ex:

-> he made both Sofia and Devin feel a range of emotions, then by the end of the short it's just Devin being all happy and dancing while Zane and Sofia are just smug (idk how else to put it)

-> in the episode Green Eyed Monster , Zane goes one by one to make Sofia, then Camila, then Layla happy. Later we see how he only makes the goo monsters happy later

-> then, in Zane The Hero , he makes the one kid less scared and only makes Ember (the dragon) feel scared

So that makes me think , he can control exactly who feels what and how many people can feel that emotion

So what if he is really powerful (not Sofia level obviously) it's just in a musical manipulative way (not saying he would manipulate someone) OR his mandolin is just THAT powerful that it can select who gets to feel what

HEAR ME OUT!!!!

Yes I know this is crazy lil theory, but I think it would make for a good episode if a villain either takes Zane under mind control or takes his mandolin to try and control others

Jake Long HC's

-> even though he's an American Dragon, he has some subtle things linked to Chinese Dragons

-> ex: he can control elements like rain and wind, but not as strongly as a Chinese Dragon

-> when he's feeling upset or angry, that's when water near him boils or wind gets stronger

-> he's getting better at identifying the difference between the magical creatures and regular humans

-> personally, I think Jake is good at a lot of things but doesn't really show it due to Hailey , so that leads to him just not showing things he does

-> has a very good relationship with rose , especially since Rose knows about his dragon side so he doesn't feel the need to hide it

-> he lies a lot, and he doesn't even mean to do it , especially with his dad - Johnathan - he's still getting used to not trying to lie to him and that he can talk about his dragon stuff

-> even though he loves his family (or so he claims) dealing with all he has to deal with makes him very emotionally drained and it doesn't help that his mom side of the family treats him very poorly

-> he has to try twice if not more hard to prove himself to the dragon council, Hailey not so much - since she's smart and more disciplined than Jake

-> doesn't sleep that much at all

clearly i am not super skilled in drawing, but i wanted to try doodling the royal magic characters from memory! you can tell how much more familiar i am with sofia’s design than any of her new friends…i had a lot of fun trying this out, maybe i’ll give it another shot once the show releases!
