Ghost Stories. Basically, the original was so bad that when the rights to it were bought, the original owners said “Just do whatever you want.”

It started off fairly normal, with pretty much straight translations with the occasional joke thrown in. It evolved into a parody if itself. By the end, it was practically just improv placed over animation.

Up until your fight with Asgore, Flowey's plan was: • Steal the souls • Become a god • ??? • Profit During the fight, Flowey basically just watched. He only intervenes after you spare Asgore. One could say he was waiting for Frisk to finish the job, but during a Pacifist run that doesn't make sense. In that case, he likely wouldn't have expected you to fight at all. Then it hits you: Asgore had basically just offered Frisk the same life Chara and Asriel/Flowey once had; easily interpreted as making Frisk a replacement child. Just think about how that must've made our Best Nightmare "feel," for lack of a better word. Betrayed, rejected, certainly nothing positive. A soulless being may not be able to feel love or compassion, but we've seen from the boss fight at least three feelings: irritation, epicaricacy, and confusion. Other feelings may still be possible for the flower.
