everything that goes on in the devil complex was super intense, then simply mishandled for the rest of the season. unfortunately, this makes it look like all of 5b fitz was just a plot device, and they decided to dig him into an incredibly deep hole to give daisy her powers back, then kill him.

they don’t handle the fallout properly in season five, then they kill fitz, and season six is simply too short for s6 fitz to learn about what the hell went down, so he just doesn’t? he never learns about the devil complex, they just talk around it a little bit.

that’s so heartbreaking because that means that fitz doesn’t get to make amends with daisy. s6 fitz doesn’t get to learn and grow from the mistakes of 5b fitz, so does he even grow as a character in s6?

anyways I think this was one of the biggest fumbles of all time because they wrote this super intense plot point, kind of addressed it for a bit, murdered my boy, and then don’t let fitz grow past it. the only character development that s6 fitz gets is learning abt deke for the second time and being mildly jealous of s5 fitz.
