There are those who feel a cosmic entity beyond time and space would plan my fall. My... My suffering. "God works in mysterious ways," they say. As if Madoka is God. As if it justifies suffering...

I do not believe Madoka would do that. She knows what she means to me. How it would... how it DID destroy me to... to...

Look at her. Shocked. She's so scared. In so much pain. Begging me to stop...

But I'm not here to defend the one I love. Though I will. Rather, in the expanded universe that will probably not be brought into the story because the next part's apparently been a thing since 2014, and what I'm about to say was drafted... uh, MUCH later than that? I could offer a theory on exactly what COULD theoretically scare a metaphysical concept created by humans and the foolishness of Incubators as much as I could.

In Null Magical Girl, a young woman is brought to the future. She sees the end of humanity, caused by the result of Magical Girls wanting to be free of both the Incubators and any human who would manipulate and destroy them spiraling out of control. This woman... was never the same afterwards. Came up with some very outlandish theories on the nature of fate and the universe, then... ahem, things seemed to happen to all her selves that caused her to vanish and become a singularity assuring her own existence in all universes.

I've never met this woman, this... Kosane Kiriha. The only other thing I know for sure is that her human self is my age, and she dies in 2021. But honestly, if there's someone who would fuck with MY fate, some... being behind the curtain? Even to prevent humanity being wiped out by beings of their own making and the making of Magical Girls? I would have words with her...

I had this one for a while now (for months).

The magical girl system is kind of worthless in the long run if you look into it, and that Kyubey is pretty dumb.

Kyubey said that the MGS was created to delay or even prevent the heat death of the universe, which is caused by the universe losing energy. The problem here is that the MGS is basically, using ducktape to fix cracks in a house which might cause it to fall apart, because the MGS only solves the problem of depleting energy and not the cause of it, which is the expansion of the universe.

Speaking of the expension of the universe, heat death isn't the only theorised end of the universe, another one is called the Big Rip, which in simple terms, the universe being ripped apart from the inside. The reason I bring this up, is because like I said before the MGS does not stop the expansion of the universe, meaning that while the presumed original end of the universe (heat death) was prevented, pouring more energy into the universe by itself wont do anything against the Big Rip.

On another note, the MGS is probably does more damage than good, considering that an entire planet being laid to waste by it doesn't concern the incubators, because it seems like they only seem to be interested in keeping their universe-zombie-virus going. But why do I call the MGS a universe-zombie-virus, you may ask, and the answer is found in Null Magical Girl, where it is revealed that if humanity isn't wiped out by witches, than they would be wiped out by the homo-magica, which is basically the MGS evolved to no longer need the incubators. In the later plot of Null Magical Girl, the homo-magica is literally described to turn the universe into a zombified/undead version of itself, while attempting to spread to other timelines and universes.

The whole homo-magica situation was probably cause by the incubator's incompitance, considering that the MGS almost got out of their hands multiple times throughout the franchise, like in Tart Magica or Magia record, and don't get me started with the Law of Cycles which basically rewrote the MGS to be "less efficient".

All of this makes me wonder, if Kyuney is just plain dumb, lazy, or just not taking their own selfproclaimed mission seriously.

I just realized. In the original anime, Kyubey said that if it weren't for the incubators, humanity would still be living naked in caves. And some people in the fandom don't believe him, but, Null Nagical Girl gives us the answer. IT'S A HALF TRUTH!! Spoilers for Null Magical Girl, but:

The reason for the cognitive revolution in humans is CONFIRMED in that story to be because we developed souls. And this story also confirms that the existence of the human soul was due to Eruna's wish. And Eruna's wish was granted by Kosane, who was half incubator by that point.

So it is a result of Kyubey, but not necessarily because of the good done by various magical girls wishes (though that likely helped). It was because of Eruna. Further more, this same tangle of time paradoxes is also responsible for Kyubey's existence in the first place anyways, so they can't really take credit for it in the way they imply, even if it was all the result of that contract (in the 1990's and not prehistory)

In fact, Kosane's whole goal soon became to eliminate the human soul. And as essentially the goddess of the incubators, this means that Kyubey, or at least her special part of that hivemind, was actually trying to undo the progress that Kyubey (correctly) claimed to be responsible for.
