The way Dulcie just IMMEDIATELY started using Eddie's new pronouns even though she was in the flow of an angry outburst, and then later when she was searching the caravan about two seconds away from a breakdown she STILL used them AND used 'person' and never even faltered. Fuck, that made me cry. Incredible.

deadloch saying "there are no good cops" and "good people cannot work within the carceral system without compromising what makes them good" and "the compromises good cops make hurt marginalised people just as much as the actions of intentionally bad cops" and then actually following through on those statements by having dulcie and eddie quit rather than continue to uphold a broken and harmful and corrupt system (even with good intentions) is actually so powerful we can retire the procedural completely i think

deadloch s2 ending the way it did is the natural conclusion of a cop show that wants to both actually engage the topic of police corruption AND have the protagonists be the good guys. like yeah. if you are a good person who goes into the police force you will either come out of it as a worse person whose morals are slowly corroded by that environment or you will LEAVE. bang up job stellar fucking work just fucking beautiful.
