So the day is almost over but I’ve been thinking about Neil Josten. As usual lol but it’s special because it’s his birthday!! Neil Josten turns 38 today. And Neil Josten has now lived twice as long as he thought he would.

Neil is past the age his father was when he first cut him. When he pressed a hot iron to his shoulder. Neil used to fear that he would end up like him. That the violence was engrained in him along with his father’s eyes. But Neil has never once looked at a child and seen them as disposable. Neil Josten sees the potential in everyone he meets.

Neil is older than his mother was when she grabbed him and ran. But Neil Josten doesn’t have anything to run from anymore. He hasn’t in a long time. Neil Josten only has things and people to run home too. He is so loved and I’m so glad for that.

Happy Birthday Neil. I hope Andrew made you eat something sweet today. I hope you got thrown a party you didn’t want but you had fun anyways.

Need a blowout Hayden and Ilya argument that Shane walks in on like my dinner w Hayden except in my beautiful mind it’s mid long game and Ilya bipolar diagnosis so Hayden is like why do you hate me?? is it because I know Shane is too good for you?? and Ilya like fucking no? I hate you because I know Shane is too good for me and you keep reminding my literal everything that he has better options !! Like Ilya running on an internal monologue of when Shane realizes he has options he’s finally gonna leave meanwhile Shane has looked down every possible path and option and scenario and it all always leads back to Ilya. Ilya is his answer his choice his home. Ilya operating their relationship with acts of service hoping to convince Shane he is worth settling for and Shane would literally be devastated by this realization like. You think so little of my love for you..? And it’s breaks ilyas mind a little to be told your brain and mental illness can lie to you but you have to trust that my love for you is just as worthy as your love me. Because he truly did not think of it as dismissing Shane’s love for him he’s like. I don’t think you don’t love me it’s that I don’t think you should. And Shane’s heart breaks !!

They are flabbergasted to see that it was a doctoral graduation, and those "little guys" are a doctor and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Andrew Minyard.
