August Sander was well known for his Portrait work and I take this as partial influence for the style fo my project.
I was also influenced by Diane Arbus as she took pictures of people often outcast by society. This relates to my project as I aimed to highlight that the older population of Brighton are very functional within society.
My first Visit to take pictures in town invloved asking people out for the day.
My second visit was to the Friends Meeting House, in Brighton's south Lanes, their website is: www.brightonquakers.co.uk. I took many pictures of people after a talk had been given, and an exercise class.
Following my second visit, I was informed of an art class for pensioners at Patching Lodge, Brighton. I visited this and took my third set of pictures
Finally, after reflecting on my initial shoots, I revisited the Friends Meeting House to complete my photograph collection.
