They're done!

I'm calling this batch Midnight Auroras. I was a little worried if their eyes wouldn't stand our from the dark yarn, but after testing it, they came out pretty cute!

Also experimenting with some background pieces instead of the base gray... photography is not my strong suit lmao. Though the morning tornado-warning weather gave me some good lighting, at least.

Plus it looks a little better in the closeups. I think.

Anyway I made these for a cosplay! I got the idea to crochet them because

1. I had a two-year old pile of ridiculously tangled black yarn

2. Idk how to go about getting fake (or real) knuckledusters (do they orange tag those at cons???) and

3. I want to move my fingies

All freehand, no pattern sorry!

It's been like a year since I finished the actual glove part but I followed this pattern (I think):

So I've finished it! It's been done for a while now, but... I need some constructive criticism. It also doesn't stand up very well, which I'm wondering would be a bad selling point if I made the pattern.

I think he's cute though, and I don't have the heart to undo all that work lol.

Progress on Rey Dau plush is going really well!

I've been testing my pattern several times to get it right. Was having issues with the head being small, tinkering with it for some time. I finally got something I was happy with after my 4th attempt. It's not too big, but not too small.

I also took the time to test how I wanted to add in the armature to make the horns pose-able to allow him to get to his "railgun" position. Little finicky, but it works!

Every plush has its own challenges, and this one is already showing signs of such. This is exciting that it is coming together already.

More updates once I get more far along the process, but as always, happy hunting and stay crafty!
