Happy birthday, Sherlock!
More merrymaking.
Can’t believe it’s been a year since our favorite mustached men reunited!
Two!
Merry Christmas (or whatever you celebrate), Tumblr!
Here is the source for the “missile toe” image.
This is an old favourite of mine ... I have a thing with bad puns ...
LIARS.
Prevaricators, sellers of falsehoods, habitual deceivers, misleading excuse-makers … crazy-makers!
Instead of publishing a Christmas story in a January issue, someone could have written about his best friend’s birthday, which was on the 6th.

A Study in Pink first aired 5 years ago today.

So I was tempted to paint a shot from Sherlock’s pilot episode! Oh, I’m such a sucker for feathery hair over a guy’s ears… (My Art Tag)
Wow!
Trench coats are cool.
The Basil Rathbone adaptations bring back a clearly dead Moriarty with no explanation, because he was a popular villain.
The clue word for the special is 'ghosts'. It's looking very likely that Moriarty will figure in an important way.
I’m pro-Gatiss and pro-Moffat. I don’t see much love for The Moff on my dashboard, so here’s an interview from about a month ago where he discusses his approach to writing, his job as showrunner (what the hell that means), and some fun questions (like his favorite tv moment, what DVDs he’d have with him on a desert island, etc.) Good interview.
Yes! This is the video! I’d read the quote about the kiss on The Office, but the link to the video was dead. But here it is! So many things are happening here that encompass things I love about Moffat. Wondering why his own character just said something that seemed weird to him. Saying that writer’s block just means you haven’t got it quite right yet. He seems to be in the camp that believes ideas exist and writers are conduits for them, and as such, he’s completely comfortable talking about his own successes, confidently yet without bragging. I love that he has a Weeping Angel in his garden because of course he does because he’s just a BIG NERD. That he’s excited by, instead of wary of, the inevitable technological changes coming to his profession. And like a massive TJLC-lens freak out alert for what he says about ASiB. It’s a good episode, sure, but seen as an episode of television that is completely capable of being interpreted one of two distinct ways, it may indeed be the best thing he’s ever done, and that Mark Gatiss knows it encourages me even more.
I love interviews like this, where people get to just talk about what they do. I agree with malachiteempress, more Moffat appreciation would be nice!
All the best and brightest creatures
(by Wordstrings) is back and it's amazing. I've given up trying to predict what will happen because it has the twists. The twists! (Although Jim's promise was always a bit fragile.)
