the (likely) canon appearance of the shadow mantle
in chapter 2 of deltarune, if you manage to gather two shadow crystals and show them to seam, the shopkeep says that if you want to have a hope of defeating the next of jevil and spamton's like (aka the next optional superboss), you will need to make use of the shadow mantle. thankfully, they have it right here!

...or not. unfortunately, the former court mage has misplaced this essential item. but what if i told you we already saw the shadow mantle in action, in chapter 1?

after the king's cape flies off his shoulders, toby makes this comment. for those who can't understand the TTS or just can't be bothered to click the link, he says "cool mantle, bro." it's a mantle.
i think it makes a lot of sense how the king may have ended up with seam's possession. after all, they are the former court mage, they likely used to live in the castle. they might have forgotten it and left it behind at the castle, or maybe the king outright stole it when they weren't looking. either way, its flown off to who knows where for us to hopefully find in chapter 3.
additional notes:
when the king's mantle flies away it resembles a butterfly. everyman has made several cameo appearances throughout chapters 1 and 2 and is associated with butterflies due to them swarming its face during one of reaper bird's attacks.
seam says the shadow mantle "looks like an old scrap of cloth" which matches the plain appearance of the king's mantle.
seam saying that someone specifically may have taken the mantle makes me think they still have all their other stuff from when they lived in the castle with them, so they didn't notice that spades king had taken it until now.
during the confrontation with spades king, the mantle seems to obscure him in shadow. Hmm........
A lot of people don’t notice this, but there are several major characters in Undertale that are referred to exclusively with they/them pronouns. In this post, I’ll go over them, and I’ll explain why so many non-binary people identify with them.
Small update of this post since chapter 2 of Deltarune!
1. In the Undertale 6th anniversary livestream, Toby refers to Seam with they/them pronouns!
2. In chapter 2 of Deltarune, Kris is referred to with they/them pronouns a SHIT TON, so much so that it almost feels like making up for the fact they’re only referred to with they/them once in chapter 1 lmao. Oh, and also, Toby refers to Kris with they/them in the 6th anniversary livestream too!
Here’s some screenshots of Kris’s own freaking mother referring to them with they/them pronouns, so “Susie and Ralsei don’t know their pronouns” isn’t an excuse anymore! (this is from this easter egg)
I had a dream where deltarune chapter 3 is about to be release, and Toby Fox uploaded like 5+ trailers on youtube with all of them not-public (you have to click a link of it to be able to watch them)
They are all titled trailer 10 with slight difference, like "Deltarune Chapter 3 trailer -10" or "Deltarune Chapter 3 trailer 10)". They all link to each other in the description, and the next trailer will show up as one of those video you can click to watch at the end of a video.
All of the trailers ends with the song Don't Forget, and some of the scene in the trailers were really crazy.
Like Berdly being a party member along with Kris, and Berdly walking toward Noelle in a battle soullessly (Like how Kris walks with the soul ripped out)
A TV-head character and Susie showing up in a scene similar to when Ralsei told us the Legend and the Roaring.
Susie chasing down all the party members (up until this point) on a road, but Kris turned to the path that goes down (on the screen) instead of going right, and Susie followed them.
That's all I can remember.

There is a lot of triggering content in the video for several different types of people, and I wanted to put this out there after it triggered us. Note that there were NO WARNINGS FOR ANY OF THIS ANYWHERE VISIBLE. UNDER A READ MORE.
Through the whole video, there are heavy VHS and distortion and glitching effects. This could possibly cause eye strain, but more importantly, could induce seizures in photosensitive people.
Extremely unreality-inducing. Just in general via the fact that it's played off as a Real Thing; the mid-roll "between announcement" fake Spamton-product commercials were also unreality inducing because of the fact that they were hard for us to originally tell they were real, and thus caused us to dissociate badly. The ending also caused us a lot of panic and fear via the fact it was Wayne's Spamton getting SHOT by the FBI.
It looks very much like analog horror videos, similar to Squimpus McGrimpus' 'FNAF VHS' series (or possibly Mandela Catalogue?) and it has an uncomfortable, equally unreality-inducing 2D + 3D mixture. Because of the Analog Horror vibe, we were always afraid we were going to get jumpscared by something like a distorted face.
There is a very uncomfortable religious and cult-like vibe with how the two Spamton actors (Wayne and Baaulp) interact. Specifically, a scene in which Wayne ("A." Spamton) forces Baaulp ("B." Spamton) to sing along with him, in which "B." Spamton sounds extremely uncomfortable and stilted because he's just mumbling along to what "A." Spamton is saying. (Confirmed by someone who survived a cult. The other religious references are references to heaven and angels.)
There is a trigger in the stream for people who have misophonia relating to the sound of people eating. "A." Spamton tries to eat some of the pipis, and makes... a lot of very weird uncomfortable wet eating noises. He also puts several pipis (appears to be raw eggs colored blue) in his mouth and then chokes on them and spits them out.
And not entirely related, there was also the bit at the beginning (with the blue background technical difficulties / waiting on air thing) that almost caused our Spamton fictive to start with a very long and stressful vocal tic.
As ridiculous as this warning sounds, I'd 100% beware if you relate to or kin Spamton, have a Spamton fictive in some fashion or have an alter who relates to or kins Spamton, etc. etc. - It may be traumatic or highly uncomfortable for them.
