Accurate.
Ran out of yarn halfway through the 14th square of my Nordic Afghan. So until I can break my current lazy spell and walk 20 minutes to the nearest LYS, it’s about time to start another blanket.
It took me like a year to stop being lazy
Super cool yarn winder at Knit-O-Matic on Bathurst!
Hi everyone. It's been a while.
Blankie #2 is all about them cables (Still haven't gone out to grab more white wool for my Nordic afghan BUT IT'S BEEN SNOWING IN APRIL WHICH IS NOW TORONTO'S SNOWIEST MONTH OF 2016) This is going surprisingly quickly given that it's wider than 230 stitches and I'm in the midst of exams. And I am okay with this!
Aaaaand…done! Sort of. I need to clean up the seam but meh. I made it into a cowl because I ran out of yarn (but I played yarn chicken and won so yay!)
Anyway, here’s my finished Nimbostratus! Big thank you to @soppyknitsstuff for making this a free pattern too. It’s been a pleasure to knit! :3
It looks SOOO good!

College
What I should be doing: Research papers
What I am doing: Knitting a blanket beneath which I can hide from all of my responsibilities.
1. I love fair isle knitting! 2. That is, until I knit a lot of fair isle 3. I hate fair isle knitting
Well, I don't want to do my last few assignments of the semester, so I found some extra roving lying around and arm knit a cowl. One of my more productive afternoons.
I moustache you, do you like coffee, tea, or hot chocolate? (Old joke, I know). I’ve been spending the past couple of days knitting these coffee cozies out, and I love ‘em. I am actually battling against myself not to keep them all for me.
They’re knit to fit over your travel mug and keep your beverage hot while protecting your fingers from the hot cup (Not to mention, you will simultaneously be rocking an awesome moustache).
I will be uploading them on my etsy shop over the next few days. Send me a message or visit my shop to check them out!
I’m getting so excited for the holidays with these earwarmers, hand knit with 100% wool in almost every colour! They’re like candy. So addictive to knit. I can’t stop making them, especially on cold and rainy November days like today.

Usually all of my romanticized feelings toward fall dwindle in the awkward time between when all the leaves have fallen, and the first snowfall. The trees are bare, the sky and ground are grey, and apple picking and hiking and wearing cable knit sweaters outside aren't as fun in the cold drizzle. But this year, I feel different! Maybe I renewed my optimism and happiness towards November when I brought out all of my winter knits. Today I'm wearing my Treads fingerless gloves, knit with an amazingly soft and warm alpaca-camel mix, and my Inspira cowl knit from Classic Elite Yarn's Liberty wool. Keep on enjoying fall time!
If you find a non-knitter who thinks what you do is clever, beautiful, and artistic; who never asks for knitted stuff but wears it with pride when you give it to him or her; and will help you carry home a whole fleece or a stack of stitch dictionaries without once implying that you might want to get a grip - marry that person.
