The whole first episode of this show was amazing---a totally original take on Vampires!

But from then on, Dracula doesn’t drain anyone’s life force at all. Not on the boat, where he could have simply spent the 4 weeks absorbing them, and not after that. 

For example, he spends 3 months around Lucy---but GOD FORBID we show the rapid degeneration of flesh process on a PRETTY WOMAN. Oh No. Actresses could never handle such a thing. 

Basically, the show got vapid and went back on the only original premise it had.

So...

In Episode 2, Dracula makes it clear that Youth and Beauty don’t mean much to him beyond entertainment and he values gaining new skills from those he drinks, and kills the vain but beautiful Lord, right?

But in Episode 3 he literally cares about Lucy more than world domination because...? Why?

This girl is vapid. She literally only has that she’s hot and slow-dances in people’s mental imagery. 

So much of this show doesn’t make sense.

My game somehow defaulted to having it be that Arcadia Bay was destroyed in the Storm, so Max and Chloe chose to save themselves.

And I’m sat here feeling sick that Max and Chloe are going on their merry life worrying about art gallery showings when they literally let tends of thousands of people including all their friends and Chloe’s own mother die so Chloe could live and they could roadtrip.

They are actually the definition of evil.

Lyra using her status as Coulter’s daughter to get out of incision and screaming YOU DON’T KNOW WHO I AM is the sickest thing I think I’ve ever seen on screen. Like... How can you literally make me HATE my childhood heroine? 

It’s fine, do it to all these peasant kids, who the fuck are they? But you better KNOW WHO I AM.

How much ASOIAF fans hate and rag on all the underage characters for every horrible thing they do. 

For example, Joffrey---clearly not an abused and manipulated twelve-year-old with mental health problems. Clearly just born evil!

Or Tyrion? Constantly berated and bullied and abused all the time he was growing up? Not to mention being forced to witness and partake against his will in brutal rape. 

Or Tysha, who had to undergo that brutal rape. But thankfully; no one has slandered Tysha. Because thankfully people aren’t that assholish. 

Or Arya, not a traumatised and unstable young girl, but a crazy, rude murderer?

Or Sansa! Manipulated by an older woman and entire council but no, she’s just a whiny TRAITOR, who got her father killed. 

Or Sweet Robin? It’s totally his fault that his mother spoiled him and raises him in crazy ways. He’s such an asshole for being frail and sickly and weird.

Or Robb Stark, who tried to be honorable but honestly he’s clearly just a complete idiot isn’t he? 

Or... Dany. Yes, Dany, the most entitled scum of the Earth, the worst possible person, the white saviour who pretends to be so good but is really a bloodthirsty tyrant. 

But not... No, never... 

Not Sweet, innocent, pure, couldn’t know any better Lyanna Stark. 

She never did anything wrong. So good, so young.

Despite being older than all these people. 

And choosing to elope with a married father of two infants. 

And not coming back even when her father and brother die. 

If you believe Lyanna went willingly; then you can’t blame Rhaegar for all this. And if you can blame a ten-year-old girl for her trauma you can blame a sixteen-year-old, a fully grown women in ASOIAF, for causing hundreds of thousands of deaths. 

In conclusion, fuck Lyanna Stark and fuck hypocritical fans who think she can’t be criticised on account of being a young girl who don’t know any better.

THE PROS

I loved the whole final episode. It’s so amazing and seeing Callum jump off the cliff I was like BE ONE WITH THE SKY. It’s so perfect. 

Bait exists, and this makes me eternally happy. 

Honestly the whole season was so fast-paced and exciting and better than Season 2.

I love the Sunfire Queen getting wrecked. Sorry not sorry. She was racist, cruel, arrogant and described Amaya as a ‘pet’. I stan Aaravos disintegrating her ass. In fact, that whole scene/episode was amazingly exciting. I just love when the ‘bad guys’ win the day because shows are so afraid to do that lately. 

I like that we got confirmation that Runaan is still alive and his husband is so cute. 

I love all the aesthetics of the different elves actually. I can’t wait to meet all the factions. 

Okay, but Amaya and Janai is my biggest OTP in this show so far. 

I thought the animation quality of backgrounds suffered in Season 2 but everything seemed a lot more polished again this season and, just, beautiful. 

THE MIDDLE

I don’t know how I feel about Sol Regem. He’s was clearly a complete asshole even before he got hurt. But also, poor dragon baby. :c 

THE CONS

Callum and Rayla. Who needs it?

I’m not liking some design things, and continuity, like Aanya suddenly growing two feet or that they can’t decide if Runaan or his husband is the taller or how different the moon elf mount creatures looked scene to scene. 

I’m so bored of making Viren a pure villain rather than having the nuance and having to deal with a more realistic situation where no one is completely right or wrong. 

I do love Claudia, but I’m very worried her arc is going to be very close to Azula’s. They always do this---save the guy, have the girl spiral out of control. 

Nyx is cruel. I don’t care about theft but she got that poor creature’s soul ripped out so, honestly fuck her. She’s awful. And I know that people will worship her because she has cool hair and what can I say? Fans can be shallow. 

Why... Why was Xadia gearing up for war, and actually attacking border towns and Forts in S1 and S2 and then suddenly, they’re just... innocent? That plotline just vanished. Just like the army didn’t have to pass Sol Regem? 

I’ve really over the shock-value slaughter, soul-ripping and maiming of animals and no character taking it at all seriously.

The Dragon Prince S1: Send Scouts across the border, Send Assassins to kill a Human King.

The Dragon Prince S2: The Breach is heavily defended, a Human fortress is attacked, a town is attacked by a Dragon, the rulers and several main characters are concerned about war.

The Dragon Prince S3: I CAN NOT BELIEVE VIREN IS FORCING EVERYONE TO GO TO WAR AGAINST POOR, DEFENSELESS, INNOCENT XADIA.
