I absolutely love this time of year, and not just because of the cliché things, for example the gifts, but for much more. I love feeling that there's a sense that this is the best that people have to offer. People putting up Christmas decorations not because they have to, but because they want to. Sitting near a fire with some hot cocoa with a loved one, not just because it's cold but because they cherish the time together. And especially on Christmas Day, when a son, daughter, mother, father sit in a round watching each other's smiles grow as they open something they've wanted. Not just the receiver but the giver, because you know that you've given someone a reason to smile even though it might be just something materialistic. It's the things you see on commercials, the smiling faces, the wrapped presents, and the season joy. That is why I love this time of year. I'm glad it comes around again because I'd be lost without this feeling. Merry Christmas everyone, and have a very happy, new year.
