Volví ese día a la casa de mi esposo y ese cuadro aún me atormentaba, ella estaba ahí mirándome fijamente. Era el cuadro de su antigua novia, es como que el fantasma de ella lo persiguiera a todas partes. Pero ¿Cómo, dime Dios cómo? iba él a amarme si ella aún estaba ahí. No se como ese cuadro había logrado llegar a la nueva casa que teníamos. Había algo malvado en su rostro y en el rostro de él, en la imagen se veía como él la contemplaba, la quería y la protegía. El cuadro era para mi un recordatorio constante de su pasado y de que tal vez jamás lo soltaría.
