-🦈 Figured I’ll make an official hello for this account. But you may call me Shark! I’m an amateur artist and at the moment I’m doing both traditional and digital!
-Obviously Minors DNI, and yes I do mean it. Please. If there is no pfp or age in your bio you WILL be blocked. Sorry. And YES you might find kink stuff here I’m shameless and you can judge all you want! Mostly just sicky stuff and objectum lmfao
-Unfortunately this IS my main blog and since I cannot change it this is where I’d be interacting via follows and mutuals. But I’ll mostly be reposting stuff and posting other things aside from GF.
-Occasionally you’ll find Sickfics and hurt/comfort here as well. I do enjoy writing from time to time. ^^ 🦈
this post is probably going to be pretty long so i'm gonna put it under a cut, but this is a 'masterpost' of sorts for our headcanon on puzzles having DID.
if you don't have DID and try to 'ermmm ackshually!' us, you will be blocked. this is not your topic to speak on. we are a medically recognised* system, and we have been recognised since we were 17.
*medically recognised as in, while not officially diagnosed, multiple healthcare professionals have observed and agreed we are a system. diagnosis is incredibly hard to receive, and can take up to ten years in my country due to the lack of specialist care for dissociative disorders.
before i start i want to put the definitions of some system terminology here so 'singlets' (people without DID) will understand what we're talking about better (i made sure to check these were at least somewhat reliable sources):

with that out of the way -
we believe puzzles wouldn't have many alters who aren't fragments. considering the consistent isolation in his childhood, we can absolutely see him having a higher headcount, but in terms of trauma distressing enough to bring about fully-formed alters, it wouldn't be a lot.
for fully formed alters he'd have three (that we've fleshed out so far) - we personally refer to them as 'baby puzzles', 'F' and 'meg'.
baby puzzles is exactly what the name implies - it's puzzles as a child.
realistically, this makes sense. the trauma took place in his childhood, DID begins to form in childhood, ETC ETC. if anything this is actually partially canon to us due to the way puzzles/baby puzzles are depicted in WOTFI 2024; the inside of puzzles' head is essentially like a headspace housing an alter, at least that's what we've always perceived it as.
i don't really have much else to add to this besides 'watch WOTFI 2024 if you want an idea of how this would change puzzles' personality'.
meg is a factive of meggy. considering how important meggy / leggy is to puzzles, it makes perfect sense that he'd end up splitting an alter based on her. this doesn't mean part of him completely adopted meggy's personality, though - she is more based on an idealised version of her that puzzles concocted. due to this, she perceives puzzles as her best friend, and talks very highly of him when she's fronting. this also changes the way "puzzles" speaks - while it is still his voice coming out of the body, the tone and inflection is closer to how meggy sounds.
the last alter in the roster is 'F' or, 'father'. once again, exactly what his name implies - he is a factive of puzzles' father. due to this, he is rather harsh to the rest of the system, often demeaning and belittling the others while co-conscious. he rarely 'fully fronts', meaning he just kind of.. watches from the side, most of the time.
F is not dangerous. he is just unpleasant to be around. he is also a much heavier smoker than puzzles is.
despite how harsh he is to the rest of the system, this is because, functionally, his role would be that of a persecutor - it is done in an attempt to protect the system from further harm, no matter the negative consequences it could bring to the rest of them. there is a possibility that he could become kinder to them all one day, and there are occasional times where he's more relaxed and nicer, specifically toward baby puzzles - that IS his son, after all.
one final thing i'd like to add to this long, long list of headcanons is that puzzles would most likely have a good number of fictives, as well. these are alters who are similar to factives, but instead come from a fictional media, like a book, videogame, or TV show. considering how TV has been puzzles' main method of escapism / coping since he was very, very young, it absolutely makes sense for him to have fictives in his system! if i think of anything for this i'll make a part 2 to this post, but for now, this is what i've got.
thank you for reading ^^ this headcanon means a lot to us so we're really excited to finally post it..
