ok so crazy. i ran into my friend whom i’m like having a mild affair w at the thrift store. we saw each other in the furniture section and chatted for like two seconds then he’s like ‘we were on our way out’ and im like oh she’s here? she’s here rn? at the same time as me? and u? we’re all in the same room right now? oh that’s her over there? oh?

then he walked away like he didn’t know me and they left together while i looked through the mens tshirts. it’s a weird life we live.

wtf i just asked my boss how things were going in the processing of hiring me from temp to permanent and he was like ‘well. there is one thing i wanted to address first.’ and then was like ‘i know you’re very passionate in your beliefs and stuff’ like i don’t even know what the thesis was like just ‘we as a team need to like talk about sensitive topics less’ ig??? apparently someone said something to him????? about me??? i have no idea actually. but i’m like fucking whatever dude like. it’s not like i’m out here picking fights. mfs pick fights with me all the time bc i’m a vegan feminist woman and they love to obnoxious about it. so if the gist is just ‘we’re all going to avoid sensitive topics in the future’ that works great for me cause i do not like those conversations anyway. and i try to shut them down like i don’t want to be arguing politics at work. but i have been antagonized here about my beliefs many times and i have never done that to anyone else i have only ever defended my positions after multiple prompts from others. fucking whatever.

the thing is that every time they invent a new thing that everybody has to be able to do to get along in society, that also involves making some people disabled who weren't before, because they can't do the thing. and they never could do the thing, but it didn't used to be a disability.

A large part of the reason families were bigger in the past was because marital rape was not considered rape and birth control/abortion methods were ineffective, dangerous and/or illegal. We can dance around this and act like our great great great grandmothers just loveddddd being mamas so much that they decided out of their own free will to have 11 children. We can pretend that they DECIDED to have big families because it was a financially advantageous decision so they could have more labor around the farm. But a lot of children in the past were fundamentally unwanted and not conceived out of love, children were not a choice women got to make. We need to admit that and stop pretending historical women were inherently more maternal because they were impregnated at the age of 15 and kept having babies until they were 40. That did not make them loving mothers, it did not make them ‘the divine feminine’ and it sure did not make them happy.
