i've got some serious issues w the larger transfeminist community & space on here i'll be honest. and it is hard for me to talk about because not only do i feel the need to be very precise and clear with my words, but also there is enough opposition to transfeminism already that im afraid my words will be twisted for use against the movement as a whole. it feels difficult & dangerous to talk about issues w this community on here.

i think the 'transfeminist' space on here is.. unprincipled, for lack of a better word. you will advocate against harassment, against alienation, for the assuming of good faith, etc., but really only for girls who you see as likeable, for girls who are agreeable. you will discuss an element of transmisogyny while being blind to or perpetuating the same pattern in your own spaces.

transfeminism should not be empty words. you are a fucking hypocrite if you consider yourself a part of this movement yet utilize transmisogyny against other transfems.

there is no transfeminism without intersectionality, without principle, without solidarity. humble yourselves. understand your positionality in all of this and where you hold power. stop being a hypocrite and educate yourselves. the amount of racism & ableism left unchecked in these spaces is sickening. put in the fucking work.

transfeminism is, i mean this entirely seriously, dead in the water as a movement without intersectionality. this shit can't continue.

discourse surrounding the fantastic popular show atm (which i need to stress i have only seen the last two episodes) is just kinda reinforcing a thought i had a while ago: a large majority of the fanbases of character based stories (the fantastic popular show, deltatale) that take a while with their production/episodic releases have a really major problem that is of no fault of the creators, where the fanbase starts to make up their own versions of the story while waiting for the next part. that in itself is not an issue in the slightest! fanon stuff is great and has been a huge part of fandom for years! the issue is then when a new official episode or chapter or whatever of the original thing releases, some people get very angry that it isn't what they as individuals decided the thing should be. and then they get very vocally angry at the creators to the point i have seen several of them driven off the internet/their main platforms. why has this been so prevalent of a thing the last decade? is it another one of those "the answer is covid" things or what?
