if you see me laughing while texting there’s a 99.9% chance i’m laughing at a text message i sent because i’m equal parts vain and hilarious
#i’m so funny my friends are so lucky to have me
ig this might be due to being gay being a big part of my identity and sense of self but the idea of a fictional utopia where sexual orientation basically doesn’t exist and everyone just likes who they like is just very alienating to me. representation politics are very weird and flawed but if we’re going to get into the types of characters i identify with in media and who’ve had a long lasting positive impact on me, they aren’t ones who just so happen to be involved with other men without it being addressed whatsoever, they’re specifically and culturally gay and that’s a part of their character and narrative. the idea of losing that for this weird, theoretical, enlightened society where same gender sex or romance just happens by chance without ever being something important or specific just makes me feel very weird and sad.
i think in a lot of ways the idea of a future where sexual orientation never comes up is a lot more comforting to straight people than anyone else. the idea of a world where gay people never talk about being gay and there is no gay culture because, why would there be, and i guess no one’s even gay at all because we’ve Moved Past That isn’t one i find comfort in at all, and it sounds pretty bad to me actually.

On May 27, 1991, Sandra Smith, Tina Spivey and Nicole Childress called 911 when they saw Konerak Sinthasomphone, 14, stumble out of Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment in Milwaukee. Sinthasomphone was nude, incoherent, and bleeding. Two officers, John Balcerzak and Joseph Gabrish, responded to “Man down … badly beaten … wearing no clothes”.
When officers arrived, the women who placed the call tried to explain the situation. Dahmer emerged from his apartment and gave his own explanation. He claimed Sinthasomphone was his young lover and he ran out of the apartment after a drunken fight. When the women and Sinthasomphone tried to protest returning to Dahmer, they were ignored. Police escorted Dahmer and Sinthasomphone back to Dahmer’s apartment. Dahmer showed police nearly nude photos he had taken of Sinthasomphone to “prove” their relationship. Police accepted the “proof”, ignored the smell of a body decomposing in the next room and left. Dahmer later killed Sinthasomphone.
The officers never asked for anyone’s ID. They made no medical assessment of Sinthasomphone. They ignored Dahmer’s “admission” that he gave alcohol to a minor. They ignored the boy’s and the witnesses’ pleas for help. Tapes were later released which showed the officers making homophobic statements about the situation.
Before Sinthasomphone’s escape, he had been drugged, lobotomized, and sexually assaulted. Dahmer had also sexually assaulted his brother a few years prior. If officers had run a background check on Dahmer’s ID, they would have discovered his status as a sexual predator.
Both officers were fired after an internal investigation. Balcerzak appealed his firing and was reinstated. He went on to become president of the Milwaukee Police Association

police neglect is also police brutality
Reminder that almost all of his victims were brown and black.
Very briefly touched on this savagery in the movie titled Dahmer
“Baby I lied there’s no gala. I brought you here because of our love for art. We enjoy traveling to museums, having artsy dates and even showcasing art about our baby\ud83d\udc36 in our own home. If someone could describe our love it could only be done through a work of art. It is happy, fun, chaotic, inspiring and strong. I want to keep discovering art for the rest of my life by your side.
Chelsea Miller, will you marry me?”

When people bring up things from about a year ago and it’s like god, that was like totally 5 personalities ago… I have changed… A LOT
