When Hua Yong asks Gao Tu about how it must be hard working with Shen Wenlang, Gao Tu immediately defends Shen Wenlang by saying, he's just strict about work otherwise he's really nice.

And despite everything. I do believe his judgement because he has been working with him for 10 years now, if anyone would know, it's him.

So I am fully of the belief that Shen Wenlang didn't start being actually fucking mean to Gao Tu until the "mysterious omega" came into picture.

He was still rude before though, but considering all the character interactions he has had, that's his normal status and not him bullying gao tu.
