okay so imagine jason lost his memories after the Lazarus pit incident and no matter how much they tried to teach him how to fight or waited or hoped they’d come back they didn’t and eventually Ra’s Al Ghul just loses interest and tells Talia to do whatever she wants with him but Talia (I choose to believe she’s amazing and human and loves Jason like a mother) asks him what HE wants and jason being jason tells her that “he wants to learn and travel to a new place maybe” so Talia sends him to a new city far away from Gotham so he never runs into his past and he studies and OH MY GOD OMG WAIT WHAT IF — the reader is also in the same university bcs she left Gotham after Jason’s death and now she runs into this guy who reminds her exactly of her dead boyfriend except he doesn’t remember her at all and they STILL fall in love all over again and she can’t believe this isn’t the same jason she lost because there’s just no way and he doesn’t understand why she feels so familiar and he has nightmares he cant explain and she’s trying to figure things out but also not bcs does she even want to know the truth of who this person is? Does HE even want to know the truth of who he is?????
