I am basically here to post some of my works, works in progress and random things that I find interesting :). I am an aspiring 3D Chatacter Animator eager to learn new stuff. An avid fiction reader, I find inspirations anywhere and everywhere starting from books to movies to music. So, if you are reading this, thanks for stopping by! Hopefully it wasn't too boring! :)

Dream a little dream..

It was just another day in the life of a little 10 year old girl, getting ready to face yet another day of school. She put on her uniform which now looked like a distant shade of white it once was. A small part of her toe peeked out from the torn part of her socks. Putting on her shoes, she picked up the school bag from the floor and walked out of the building. She entered the school gates alone, while the other children around her got dropped off by their parents. She never knew her parents, being brought up in an orphanage since she could remember. It was the last day of school before the summer holidays. All the happy faces around her showed excitement for the vacations, some of them probably going away to discover a new place.

As the bell rang announcing the end of school before the holidays, the girl walked out of her class amidst all the happy faces surrounding her. Her face showed a little hint of sadness for she knew nothing new awaited her that summer. She walked down the street heading back to the place she knew as “home”. She went up to her room, closed the door and sat down to empty her school bag. Just as she was about to open the bag something flew in through the window beside her bed. It was a paper plane.

She picked up the plane and opened it up. A map of the whole world unfolded in front of her. Looking at it intently for a few minutes she took out a pen from her school bag and started scribbling on the map. She drew a picture of herself on every part of the map she wanted to visit. It was as if the whole world had just presented itself to her, free to be explored, begging to be discovered. She folded the map back into a plane and tried to make it fly around the room with a quiet sense of joy. 

Later that night she had dreams. She was everywhere she wanted to be – from watching a boat float away in the fading horizon of the sea, to the sun going down behind the snowy white mountains. She slept with the paper plane beside her pillow and a silent smile on her face.

As a great man once said- 

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
