Lee Hyeri is a millionaire now

Korean media reported that Hyeri earned 6 billion Korean Won (around $4.9 million USD) from commercials in 2015. The news followed Hyeri’s rise to popularity as an actress in the tvN series, “Reply 1988,” which aired its final episode on Saturday.

Hyeri outranked miss A’s Suzy as a brand model, the previously most-popular advertisement idol in South Korea.

Why do you think rough is doing so well? It seems like this was the "gee" of gfriends world haha.

I think the general public became more aware of GFriend in the 2nd half of 2015. Me Gustas Tu sold really well digitally already, they won many rookie awards, they appeared more on variety which is one of their biggest strengths, and of course the falling fancam. All of these things increased their number of fans and anticipation from both the fandom and the general public for their comeback. Luckily Rough lived up to the expectations!

It’s certainly not Gee level yet, but I’m hopeful that something as explosive as that will come along in GFriend’s future soon!

well answered. i want to add that gfriend already IS the new snsd. except theyre not with sm and snsd roughly began a year after youtube began which gave more fame. so u cant compare

in kpop if u hve 3 hits in a row…u hit fame. gsd t-ara snsd etc they all had 3 hits in a row.
