Emily James had an uncommonly full head of hair by the time she hit the age of 3. In fact, it was long enough to be cut and made into a wig for a childhood cancer patient, which she was happy to do. Emily’s thoughts on giving away some of her hair were blunt: “Just cut some off and give it to a kid.” Emily’s generosity and kindness should serve as a prompt for us all to share a little more with those in need. Her mother, Amy James, sums up the act: “We hope that as Emily matures she will learn to make her own selfless decisions that inspire and bring hope, even if there is a cost.”
This is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.
"I love you, but you don't know what you're talking about."

Just sayin'.

Photo creds go out to Ryan Muirhead Photography
My fucking heroes. <333333333 Super stoked about the new EP. The video for "Iddy Biddy" blew my mind.
Finally finished my Lego Stormtrooper costume, just in time for Sci-Fi Valley Con '13 this past weekend!! Where I met the amazing Brian O'Halloran, who plays "Dante" in the hilarious Clerks films. Spoiler Alert: Be on the lookout for Clerks 3, everybody!! It's going to be great!!
New Video: 42 Song Pop Punk Mashup
One of the coolest mashups I've ever heard. I'm in love with it.
The cutest, and greatest Wes Anderson movie ever made.
"Then why do I care?!
I'M SO CONFUSED.
And for the first time I
truly wish that I would die.
And there is NOTHING to make it better,
to ease the pain,
and I am running,
and hiding,
crying.
SCREAMING
and SHAKING,
rocking,
retracted.
The baby curled up
on the concrete.
The baby that won't be quieted,
won't be consoled.
And then I found my friend,
swallowed several of them.
Flirted with the silence of forever,
and escaped in a blank sleep,
desperately clenching onto the hope of something
better."

I'm going a little off the books today from my usual Tumblr posts to share with everyone the brilliant creation I made today. Cut from the backs of two old, large sized t-shirts, and hand -sewn ((later sewn with a sewing machine so that it wouldn't fall apart)).

"It's not a matter of right and wrong," Mr. Whittier would say. Really, there is no wrong. Not in our own minds. Our own reality. You can never set off to do the wrong thing. You can never say the wrong thing. In your own mind, you are always right. Every action you take -- what you do or say or how you choose to appear -- is automatically right the moment you act. His hand shaking as he lifts his cup, Mr. Whittier says, "Even if you were to tell yourself, 'Today, I'm going to drink coffee the wrong way... from a dirty boot.' Even that would be right, because you chose to drink coffee from that boot." Because you can do nothing wrong. You are always right. Even when you say, "I'm such an idiot, I'm so wrong..." you're right. You're right about being wrong. You're right even when you're an idiot. "No matter how stupid your idea," Mr. Whittier would say, "you're doomed to be right because it's yours."
Chuck Palahniuk (Haunted)
Apart, We Wither.
"I was in the winter of my life, and the men I met along the road were my only summer. At night, I fell asleep with visions of myself dancing and laughing and crying with them. Three years down the line of being on an endless world tour, and my memories of them were the only things that sustained me, and my only real happy times. I was a singer. Not a very popular one. I once had dreams of becoming a beautiful poet, but upon an unfortunate series of events, saw those dreams dashed and divided like a million stars in the night sky that I wished on over and over again - sparkling and broken. But I didn’t really mind because I knew that it takes getting everything you ever wanted and then losing it to know what true freedom is.
When the people I used to know found out what I had been doing, how I had been living, they asked me: Why?… But there’s no use in talking to people who have a home. They have no idea what it's like to seek safety in other people, for home to be wherever you lie your head.
I was always an unusual girl. My mother told me I had a chameleon soul. No moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality. Just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean. And if I said I didn’t plan for it to turn out this way, I’d be lying - because I was born to be the other woman. I belonged to no one, who belonged to everyone, who had nothing, who wanted everything, with a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn’t even talk about - and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzled and dizzied me.
------
Every night I used to pray that I’d find my people, and finally I did, on the open road. We have nothing to lose, nothing to gain, nothing we desired anymore - except to make our lives into a work of art.
Live fast. Die young. Be wild. And have fun.
I believe in the country America used to be. I believe in the person I want to become. I believe in the freedom of the open road. And my motto is the same as ever:
I believe in the kindness of strangers. And when I’m at war with myself - I Ride. I Just Ride.
Who are you? Are you in touch with all your darkest fantasies?
Have you created a life for yourself where you can experience them?
I Have.
I Am Fucking Crazy.
But I Am Free."
