I do t get the issue with your ads on here? I mean it’s not like you’re advertising B*tterhelp or anything dangerous like that. It’s silly games that can bring people joy
Some folk just don’t like being advertised to, but like I said, I’d rather disclose it than lie. There are genuinely so many people out there who I know are posting straight up ad reads without disclosure.
To break this all down a bit further so people have a clear picture:
I write all my own scripts for my videos, and if I’m lucky the videos get viewed enough to generate some money. I need to pass a 2000 view threshold and the payouts are roughly $4-6 per 1000 views.
But studios also have limited budgets, so also cap the amount that can be made. My highest performing video for a paid campaign was this one and the maximum payout was $750 - which is still absolutely incredible but it’s not like the budget runs forever and I’m continually making money from older videos.
The vast majority of my videos get nowhere near those views. When I post videos on here, it’s often with the links to the platforms that ‘count’ - YouTube, Instagram and TikTok and it’s often to try and squeeze a couple of extra views to hopefully get over the line.
Hope that makes sense, my goal here is to make videos highlighting games in an industry I care about and if I can earn some extra money that’ll help me get married and maybe start a family one day then I’ll be happy.
