Real-life cross-class is chef? Tifa blinked just briefly, but Jessie had a point. Seventh Heaven got plenty of business thanks to her cooking. That and it was pretty different than attempting a different form of combat in a VR game.

That and what really sold her was learning new recipes. Which could help her have more variety on day-to-day specials at Seventh Heaven. As well as more kinds of food she could just cook for loved ones.

"Well, I'm all for it if I can learn more recipes out of it. I'd be a fool to turn down the offer of having more dishes to cook for both in and out of work."

"Yeah!" Jessie agreed, her hands clapping together and fingers interweaving as she gave a theatrically winsome smile.

"It's settled then!" Nodding, she pulled her hands apart to plant them on her hips as she opened her eyes again. "In that case, since you've been feeling lonely, how about we start right away? I'm not doing anything important, so if you're free, I'm free! I can help you finish up anything you need to do now, then we can start here, or at Seventh Heaven, or at my place. The important thing is that you feel comfy, so what sounds best to you?"

As she talked, Jessie was already thinking on some of the simpler dishes she knew that she might be able to put together with limited, common ingredients.

Jessie: Puts on a different colored bandana. I'm in my blue period. Biggs: Nobody wants to hear about your period. Jessie: Kicks him!

Tifa tilted her head, curious about the sentence that Jessie half-mumbled. Wondering if she understood it or not, but the next thing Jessie spoke about definitely caught her interest. She tightened her hands in slight fists of excitement.

"Real-life cross-class idea, huh? Well, whatever it is. I'm definitely listening."

Jessie stopped short a second longer than she'd planned to given that absolutely adorable body language. Cute... Fortunately, Tifa's response covered for it and she wasn't left just standing there like a fool who'd lost her train of thought. "That's right!"

She brought her hands down onto her hips and stood straighter, puffing herself up some with a little flick of her ponytail that set it bobbing behind her for a moment. The stance made her feel more confident again.

"Everybody needs to eat, and preferably three square meals a day. As long as you can feed them, you'll always be able to support and visit them daily! Everybody already likes what you cook at Seventh Heaven, so all we really have to do is expand your repertoire. Your real-life cross-class is... chef! And I'll teach you all the recipes my mom taught me. How's that sound?"

"Well, there are a couple of things that sound interesting to me that wouldn't be just doing more punching and kicking. There's a Druid class that allows you to transform into different animals, and I was curious how they went about making it feel like you're 'really' the animal or not."

"There's also just me picking a magic-based class, maybe a sorcerer. Since that's obviously more about spells and such than anything physical."

"As for something I haven't had a lot time for lately in general. Spending time with friends. Everyone seems to be busy with work, and sometimes the only way to spend time with them is find ways to do the work with them."

Listening along to the ideas thoughtfully, Jessie blinked when Tifa's answer centered around missing friends and socializing rather than being about some kind of hobby she might be able to do in the game. She'd been expecting to hear about like... crafting? Not that she knew if Tifa liked making birdhouses out of popsicle sticks or something. She stared for a second, then mildly cleared her throat and looked aside.

"Well, you are kinda magical, so there could be something to the sorcerer thing," she half-mumbled, almost as if to herself. Turning her gaze back, she continued at a normal volume, "So is this really about having something to do when people seem busy? Because if it is..." Jessie lifted a finger. "I've got an idea for a real-life cross-class that'll keep you from feeling lonely!"

"I bought one of those recent neural link vr online games. I looked up what people recommended for classes, and some suggested using a class that is similar to what you do in real life. Saying it could make things easier. On the other hand, a lot of other people said games should be about escaping what you do in real life. And trying out new things as long as you enjoy it."

"The game has a martial artist class, but it also has plenty of others. So I'm considering what to do about it. What do you think?"

To be honest, Jessie was a little suspicious about that game description, but she wasn't gonna unduly rain on Tifa's parade when she seemed excited to try it out and was asking for advice. She cupped her own chin and hummed thoughtfully. "Mmm..."

She inclined her head in. "I think it'd have a hard time keeping up with your martial arts, and if so that'd probably be frustrating. Besides, you spend a lot of time training, right? Maybe a break would be better. What's something you haven't had a lot of time for lately? It could be a way to reconnect with that."

"Oh...!" The exclamation instantly fell from Jessie's lips as she suddenly caught sight of utterly angelic blonde hair moving through the Tokyo crowd. There was no sooner an end of gorgeous people in the Minato ward than on Manhattan Island, but this was already somehow different? Those locks caught the afternoon sun like liquid fire, and she instantly knew she simply had to see the rest of whomever bore such a majestic mane!

She maneuvered nearer with pep in her step so she wouldn't have to shout to catch the gal's attention and come across any ruder than she probably already did. As she got closer she became extremely certain she was indeed looking at a woman and not one of the city's very pretty boys.

"Ah—ano, sumimasen! Excuse me!" she began, switching between her rudimentary Japanese and native English interchangeably. She probably sounded rather generically American. When she caught sight of even just a partially turned head, she stopped, blinking. "Wow! You're beautiful! Ah, anata wa kirei desu!" She gave a casually polite bow, laughing a little at her own impulsiveness. "Sorry, do you speak English? Eigo ga hanasemasu ka?"
