My wife pointed out to me the other day that apparently most people were literally only taught how to say Sorry and not how to Apologize or even that they are different things so here.

If all you ever do is step 1, not only did you not apologize, but people will rightfully stop believing you and start getting pissed or hurt.

I always think apologizing is incredibly important.

It's a lot less scary than you'd think, and it works more often than you'd think if you follow these steps.

I only know 2 people that actively refused to accept my apology.

One of them was a high school bully that told me he gave my 60 year old mother cancer by having sex with her,

the other one used a whiteboard marker to "explain" the difference between men and women, and described "debating with intellectual peers" as a hobby.

You can learn a lot about a person from apologizing to them, and vice versa.

Probable WIP: Galsei and Broelle

In style savvy there is the so called "Boyfriend look". Seeing the words Galsei and Broelle next to each other made it click for me that I should try dressing up Ralsei in a Gyaru style, and give Noelle the Boyfriend look

It would take too long to properly colour, so I just made them the transfem/Transmasc colours, which is why Noelle looks pretty boring rn

A few weeks ago I was at a board game night with some of my old classmates from various mainland European countries. They started talking about how horrible Trump's treatment of immigrants is and how they're so glad to be in Europe where nothing like that is happening right now. I asked them what they thought about the fact that their own governments were complicit in turning the Mediterranean into a mass grave of asylum seekers, and some of them legitimately didn't even know and were surprised to hear that their own governments had enacted policies that caused the deaths of thousands of asylum seekers.

Even here in Iceland, almost nobody has been talking about the fact that some of the far right populist parties have legitimately been talking about wanting to establish detainment camps to keep asylum seekers in.

This post is a few months old now, and the bit about Iceland is now outdated, because Alþingi (the Icelandic parliament) passed the bill approving the detention center for asylum seekers. It will be legal to handcuff and detain children there.

Never let anyone from Europe feed you the lie that racism and fascism are unique to North America in the 21st century.

My uncle is really into warhammer and would win every miniature painting competition he was in. I have not very steady hands and he saw me messing up my nail polish for prom. He sat with me and carefully painted my nails and that moment meant so much to me all these years later.
