A quick look at one of the books I keep beside my tank. “Half Hours with the Lower Animals” by Charles Frederick Holder. It’s from 1905, and is a recounting by the author of his knowledge and experiences with marine life. It’s obviously well loved, covered in water stains, and I can only imagine it’s because someone else with a love for aquatic life owned it before me.
