Hello! I am searching for a brand of toothpaste I used back in the early 2000's and cannot remember what the brand was, it was a sweet bubblegum/candyfloss flavour with physical stars inside of it, you are my last resort regarding this lmao, here's hoping your email is still attached to this blog 😭
Hello! This blog has been left up as an archive for years, but it's still attached to my email, yes!
Anyhow, I was curious and did look into your question, and unfortunately I don't really have an answer. The fact that you called it "candyfloss" and not "cotton candy" leads me to think you're British or European, and I'm American so I'm more familiar with the brands over here. That said, I think the physical stars were likely "mouthwash strips" or whatever they call them, and NOT glitter because the glitter in toothpaste is mica and that is very brittle and does not get cut into specific shapes easily.
So looking at larger brands that have the tendency to add mouthwash strips/flakes, I'm guessing it was Colgate, because they are a large brand and do have some toothpastes that do this. The one that most closely matches that description is Colgate Pop Stars:
It's difficult to read but it says, "with STAR BREATH STRIPS" although the flavor is "MILD MINT" and not candy floss or bubblegum as you describe. Also, the most information I can find on When this produce launched was a review on a blog posted in 2010, so that timeframe doesn't match up.
I hope you find any of this information helpful, and good luck in your search!!
