If I’m being honest I didn’t dislike him all that much in this film- I’m willing to acknowledge he did grow after having Morgan. His death was very sad, but I’m still not a fan of his overall character.

I find this insanely funny, because Töny stans love to use the term “flaws” but when push comes to shove, they never admit to any of his, while taking literally anything Steve does and turning into a flaw.

They use the terms “flawed” and “flawless”, but don’t seem to have any actual idea what they mean or how to use them, judging by how they relate them to these characters.

Loki actually isn't all that bad. At least, not bad enough to be grouped in with T*ny, mind you.

There is always a reason (or several) as to why Loki does what he does.

Sometimes he even does good things with no ulterior schemes/hidden ambitions.

He saved Jane from death by otherworldly portal grenade.

He saved a girl he barely knew, his brother's girlfriend, and died for it. (Because that scene was shot as a last goodbye. Loki was supposed to die for good, but audiences hated it at the test screen, so they changed it.)

He helped Thor get to Svartalfheim and fought with him against the thing that killed their mother. For those concerned: he deeply regretted giving it directions after he found out what it had done. He intended to cause chaos, not to kill her.

Like I said, it's dependant on the situation, but it's still valid. (Not the genocidal actions, or the killing of a couple handfuls of people on Earth-- wait, what was I talking about? Nevermind.)

you know, after i wrote that post drawing comparisons between happy and Luis, it really made me realize something

Luis is a kind hearted, good man. he went to prison, but just for stealing two smoothie machines, and we only see him try to steal from the rich which is honestly Great. he’s always doing his best to help, he even went back into a building that was about to explode because he knocked someone out and he didn’t want him to die, even though he was arguably a “bad guy”. also the way he interacts with cassie is adorable and he clearly cares deeply for her. he was just so proud of that pez she got him for his birthday. this is the guy who Scott is paired with, this is his best friend, this is his constant support. even if he can be a bit of a doofus, he’s undeniably good.

happy is also a doofus, but he’s an Asshole. he’s constantly looking down at people and thinks he’s above them, and he’s just Consistently incompetent. he’s Sexist with a capital S to natasha the first time they meet. he is mean to peter, just straight up mean to a child who’s trying to help, because he thinks he’s above keeping an eye on him (which is not peter’s fault btw!). this is the guy t/ony is paired with. this is the guy that is consistent throughout t/ony’s appearances in the mcu

and i’m just saying that maybe the supporting characters are a reflection on the main characters themselves

i know that zack snyder’s weird fixation on letting batman murder people as his god-given right as a bat man is like, symbolically a thing or whatever, but we shouldn’t let it distract us from the bigger picture here which is that zack snyder might just legitimately be a very very creepy guy, in general, i think

I’ll be really impressed if Endgame manages to make Steve and Tony’s “friendship” actually matter because they’ve failed at that in four movies now… and like I’m sure people are getting the idea from promo but promo has been saying they’ve had some kind of mutual friendship/respect for years while canon has failed to follow through time and time again…
