So she joins a group of flowers, afraid that they'll reject her because she isn't a "real" flower. Just a ghost of a Lightner living a half-life, putting on pretty pink clothes so she can look like the flowers.

But contrary to her fears, the flowers happily embrace her. Despite everything, she's a flower to them. They're all happy she's there! Even if she wasn't born a flower, she's a flower to them.

i was really against tralsei and now i’ve warmed up to it a lot. for the record, i myself am a trans woman. part of it was actually finishing chapter 5 and seeing some of those later scenes, part of it was reviewing early scenes, but part of it was also examining that i do think i was really opposed to it because of a lot of internalized transphobia.

but now in this process of recognition i’ve been forced to confront a LOT of self hatred that i have been mostly keeping under wraps for the last few months and. ugh.
