this is our art sideblog, interactions come from @guildofghosts !
we're plural, and intend to use this blog for art related to that- comics, one-offs, whatever else
inspired by all the other blogs doing this, and it just really made us want to join in! maybe some good art practice too lol
feel free to send in asks if our ask-box is open, but:
- do not bring discourse onto our blog. we support all systems & will not tolerate any of that shit.
- WE ARE PRO ENDOGENIC FOLLOW YOUR OWN FUCKING DNI
- do not send us details about your trauma. i doubt anyone will, but as it's prevalent in this space i'm including it just in case. please, for your safety and ours.
- asks will be deleted at our discretion. we choose what we're going to answer, and you won't get a response if it's hateful.

we don't have much of a consistent main cast, but we'll add a little info about those who are featured in our art here (along with a corresponding tag)
I’ve seen a handful of people (headmates included) who get nervous about journaling because they don’t think their thoughts are like… “worth” it?? Like “oh I’ve already written about what upset me I don’t have anything of note to write about because it’s not important” like.bro no….why are you worrying about imaginary rules.if you want to write about a funny thing you saw or a minor inconvenience please write about it for the love of gawwwdddd.or you might hate journaling because you just associate it with only being upset about something and then get anxious (happened to me) so just liek.write about anything!!!! SAME GOES FOR PEOPLE WHO MAKE DIARY COMICS goodness please don’t go into it thinking “will people like this/how many notes should I expect” NOOOOOO!!!!!! TURN AROUUUND!!! WRITE STUPID SHIT PLEAAASE!!!!
i think a lot of people should learn to be more accepting and respectful of systems that do not have or want any external partners whatsoever
like there are a lot of words i could throw at it here but i don't think i particularly need to. it's just rude to consider someones internal relationships inherently lesser? or to expect that they will eventually find an external partner and not treat them seriously?
like sure, many do. many systems have external partners whether they're sys4sys or dating a singlet
but not everyone wants to ? not everyone can ?
there are over 600 of us, almost all of which have internal relationships whether theyre platonic romantic sensual sexual queerplatonic or anything else. and trying to mix and match every one of them, or demand they all get along with One Person or One External Partner-System is just.. that's not how things work for us lol. there's no magic person in the world that we could cohabitate or honestly long-term have anything like that with for so many reasons.
but for an extremely long time we could not stop obsessing over finding "the one" or finding love or being loved by an external person. and now that we've made it past the rocky first few years after full syscovery and learned to coexist and cofront? ?
we have all that we need. we're complete as we are. there's no need there's no desire there's no yearning for someone else that does not and cannot truly exist because we are everything and nothing combined to make someone who is ultimately.. happy. utterly so.
and it's bizarre to sit here knowing that so much of the rest of the world (even other systems and queer folks online) just can't wrap their heads around it? that we're seen as weird for talking to ourselves and displaying affection that would be fine with separate bodies or separate online accounts known to be operated by two different bodies.
all that to say, just.. be respectful i guess? don't push that shit on people. you don't Have to love yourself in order to be allowed love from others but it definitely helps to be aware and accepting of your faults while seeking growth. being plural and literally loving yourself on whatever level of separation you prefer is something that i don't know if i could really describe.. but the lack of definition doesn't make it wrong. it's something that we're so greatful for, as chasing external validation forever would have left us miserable and unable to actually change our lives.
caring for and taking care of your fellow headmates regardless of how you choose to label it is meaningful and its worth it. it makes all of this worth it, really? all the dissociation and confusion and struggle becomes worth it when you're spending the night hanging out with your loved ones. or your amicable ones or your acquaintances or your coworkers or that guy you hate but tolerate. it's worth it to have those moments of peace but you have to constantly build them up and protect that peace in order to see the benefits of it. take care ✌️
and i'll say this all again, because the other day we talked to someone about our internal relationships only to hear "how lucky (we) are to be fine being alone" and how "Normal people wouldn't recognize it" and everything and i'm just so exhausted with it all
i do not fucking Care if "normal" people won't accept us and our connections and how we celebrate our relationships. i do not fucking care if people think we're self-aggrandizing or selfish for celebrating our internal families and partners and relationships that involve no-one else.
i don't care if i'm "lucky" to experience this, because i already know it. and I'm Not Alone. this whole thing stemmed from isolation and desperation that we might have company that treats us well and understands us
Sorry if this has been asked before, but do you have any advice on how to start a system comic?
Also just want to say that i love love love ur comics as someone who’s still lagging in the weird stage of discovering that they are a system
Biggest piece of advice STUDY SOME COMICS PLEASSEEE study the making of comics.just look at some comics…make sure your dialogue is readable and if you’re making different designs just keep them simple if you have different skill levels and want to make the comics quickly and not burn out (this varies between person to person)
But.that aside. I would literally just pick moments of your life that happened and draw about them.it can be shitty doodles with no panels and no ending. That’s how we started ours! Most of the comics you see is just taken from real life. Something happens, one of us goes “we should draw/write about that” and we do
Writing out “scripts” or replaying the memory and writing about it is helpful, we have a giant notes page with all of ours written out (though had to make a new one because of lag) and of course take some creative liberties with them because.it’s a comic!!!!the message is the same and the dialogue is the same but I can draw fun pictures so I will draw fun pictures
AND MAKE THEM SHITTY WHEN HOU START!!!! I know I just said to study comics but you do NOT need them to be polished and clean.make them for yourself and no one else.i see people get sad about having little notes but don’t let that stop you from making fire art
This is what our old system comics looked like PRE coming to terms with it… we were just drawing what was happening
Sorry that this is sloppy it’s what happens when you’re in the middle of a slow switch LOL
Do not make a system comic with the intention of getting it big and popular
Wanting it isn’t bad of course but if it’s the only reason, you might burn out very quickly. This is also basically comics 101, make the story and comic that you want and don’t pay attention if the numbers are low because it shouldn’t be your main goal
And I understand it can feel disheartening when the numbers ARE low, that’s totally natural. When it’s something you’re passionate about you of course want others to like it too, but jsut.make sure you ARE passionate about it??? Does that make sense.. I just think it’s important to go into it without worrying about popularity and fame because comics are hard as hell to get out there and it’s very luck based (which can change by you going out to find other smaller comics to support and share them, whether they be plural comics or other ones in general)
With us, we were already making them just for ourselves and then decided to share them online because maybe someone else would find them silly and relatable.getting to this point is very nerve wracking but our intent never changed: we are going to draw for ourselves because we fucking love comics
The only other comic we’ve done was an animal crossing AU comic that was a little shitty and around 30 pages long, and it didn’t get popular of course, but that did nottttt put us down at all, especially with our mutuals/friends being interested. The only reason it didn’t upset us was because we didn’t draw them for other people at the start, it was for ourselves, to get a story on paper and also fuuuuck drawing comics is fun
So.TLDR… don’t draw comics with the intention of becoming popular.. just have fun and draw them for yourselves
hi! we see a lot of systems who want to make plural comics but don't know where to start! so we thought we might help this by making 30 prompts to spark people to make comics! feel free to do as many or as little as you want! you can do them randomly or as a daily comic challenge, etc. feel free to tag us in your comics if you use these so we can share them to this blog/get excited for you!

This is a blackout style piece about false memories & more.
Subject warnings include CSA / false memories of CSA, repeated mention of rape, false memory installation, implications of programming tactics, abuse denial, victim blaming.
(Please let us know if any other warnings should be added)

As far as things go our spirals have honestly been a lot more manageable lately. I think part of that is because we've been making art instead of digging deeper holes for ourselves.
This post will be split into two because of the subject matter in the latter half ; you can find part two [here] (link)

To people who make system or plural related comics like ours, why do you make them? I’m very curious!
With us it’s because we like sharing our experiences with people similar to us because it helps US feel less alone in all of this, while also wanting others to feel seen. But even along with that, we make them for ourselves! We all love comics and they’re a good warmup practice and helpful for us to process things
I’ve seen a handful of system comic blogs pop up with an intro post and go “I don’t have comic ideas yet so send us asks” and it leaves me confused.. why make a comic blog if you don’t have comic ideas! Or if you don’t even like making comics!
we make them because it's a great medium for us! we like putting things into panels and there's a lot of variety based on how much space you want to constrain yourselves into?
we were also inspired by other syscomic blogs (like yours!! ngl y'all were one of our big ones!) and thought well, if they can do it why can't we? i have things to say too!
so we did :)
initially we were just making them in MSpaint, but we've since moved to our main drawing program and started making zines!
it's really cathartic to share these emotions and experiences in a "safer" or "more succinct" way that doesn't outright expose you like a mirror, but reflects the images like a rippling pond or something?
always a good bonus to see that other people have felt the same or experienced similar things, we've always been extremely isolated and it's a good way to feel a sense of community and connection with others!
the lack of discussion about polyfragmented systems, especially very very big polyfragmented systems, is honestly really disappointing. like yeah we made that post about folks with infinite members and such but that is the only time we've seen something like that.
when all you see about your existence is how annoying or difficult or unmanageable it must be, it gets grating. we have NEVER seen a polyfrag post get anywhere close to our amount of members, because apparently anything over 1,500 is completely unmentionable. and even then, polyfragmented medians, spiritual systems, or people who have always been polyfrag are just not talked about.
our most modest estimate is that we have 100,000 members. our more accurate estimate is probably around 500,000. and there is systems who are WAY larger than this, somebody reading this is probably pushing the concept of infinity to a newfound limit!
outside of community spaces, the medical journals about polyfragmentation are so clinical, exclusive, and honestly inaccurate a lot of the time. there's more to multiplicity than just hosts and protectors and persecutors and fully-fledged people who can still somehow be boiled down to a convenient, palatable archetype. (i have thoughts on roles but that will be another post)
so many systems don't or can't have defined or consistent roles, origins, identities, internal communication, switches, structure, innerworlds, amnesia, opinions, etc (or have these things at all!!!) and expecting polyfrag systems to fit into the already narrow and stigmatized definition of what you think a system should be is honestly just plain screwed up.
this is messy and there's a lot more i want to say, but mecfs is kicking my ass, so...
to very large polyfragmented systems: please talk about your experiences. tag rambling highly encouraged!!!
a hastily made comic because I’ve been Having A Time. mostly for people who already know what systems are/what polyfragmented means (cuz I didn’t explain it) but feel free to show anyone who you think needs it
A Zine by the Guild of Ghosts (aka speculative-spectres. This is our art sideblog.) about being Polyfragmented in a world that is not made for you.
Full transcript in plain text for the entire post including image descriptions can be found here (link) since it's so long & we have more to say about the zine way deep dark deep down below the cut.
Please respect our banner and do not reblog or interact if you do not support endogenic systems or any of the other criteria applies to you / your blog.
Do not reupload our art on any platform or site.

We have been asked this question so many times, and as our headcount has climbed higher and higher it has become more and more fatiguing to field and respond to.
From strangers to family, when faced with a number of people larger than they can picture in one room, inevitably seem to spout out this question or a variant of it.
We've seen others online similarly frustrated with it, but all the same the majority of the times we've encountered others (including other systems) saying this, it's been Online. In "system communities".
Not every system is the same just as no house looks and functions the same on the inside. How do we live that way? We just do. It's either live here or live nowhere, because there is no other option. Every headmate has been here for a reason, regardless of how tiny or established of a fragment they are. Whether they stay or go or intermittently return.
It can be chaos just as it can be calm. Treating it as something normal becomes part of your routine when this Is (emphasis) your normal. There are so many other questions to ask, and politer ways to word them, but the easiest one is this:
"Are you up for explaining how your system works day-to day?"
Not everyone will be. Accept that. But the ones who do will likely be much more receptive because you're not reacting negatively.
You are engaging with us. Please don't treat others like test subjects unless you know they're cool with it.
got into making zines after our first one so we've got a backlog of alt text / image ids to write <\3
probably going to post our most relevant one first, cause i am so tired of seeing people in my irl life and on my dash that make me think directly of it
YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE SAD: by "Sparky"

Our first post! Hi everyone!! This one is a bit of a doozy, both in length and subject matter, so please take caution :)
WARNINGS:
potential eyestrain via bright colors (mainly in panels 8 and 10)
talk of system-based abuse, fragmentation, headmate death
heavily implied SA / coercion in panels 9 and 10.
(and here's a link for if the built in alt text doesn't work:
https://pastebin.com/qURUcXEz)
rest of the panels are under the cut (do you like the color of the sky?)
typing out the alt text has bumped this project up a couple hours, but i'm glad i did it!
feeling extremely passionate, angry, and burnt out regarding all the seemingly endless forced AI and other bullshit inclusions, censorship, and growing unrest. so the best way to express that is art of course! other pages are located under the cut.
Persist, persist, persist at all odds. Don't give up.
There is still good in the world, and every day there are people fighting to protect the targeted and vulnerable. Don't succumb to misinformation, infighting, and persevere. There will be a future without this, even if we don't personally live to see it.
