Tumblr has ironically become the chilliest social media place for me.
Don't get me wrong, it's hectic and the site is run in a ridiculous way and if you say [REDACTED ♀️] you'll die or something, but compared to Twitter? Tumblr in 2022 is borderline therapeutic. That might just be me though; I know certain areas of the site are very active and scary if you end up in them.
Also the lore is iconic and I don't think Twitter can top it.

May 31st, 2023 Edit: This blog will have an influx of mermaids during the month of May. Also lmao look its been one year since I've become incredibly active on Tumblr again. I'm going to Japan in August, btw.
June 1st, 2024 Edit: I live in Japan and this blog has had its second massive influx of mermaids due to the month of May.
May 31st, 2025 Edit: Third massive influx of mermaids due to the month of May. Have some post-MerMay depression but I was told MerMay can be all year so fuck yeahhhhhhh. Also still live in Japan
June 1st, 2026 Edit: MerMay comes and goes again, and I still live in Japan. I also now own an actual mermaid tail and it was fucking worth it haha. Happy Pride
