zanka had fallen asleep almost immediately the moment you took him in your arms. he buried his face in the crook of your neck and wrapped an arm around you.
a couple of minutes in, heâs already snoring softlyâproof heâs let himself let loose after all the days he spent killing his body by training excessively.
and while your arm starts to tingle with numbness, you forget about it because of how peaceful zanka looks asleep in your arms.
âyou act nonchalant, sometimes harsh, and youâve got a sharp tongue,â you said to yourself more than to zanka as you continuously ran your fingers through his hair, âyet⊠beneath that strong facade you put on is a soft heart.â

as soon as you finished drinking, zanka took hold of your chin. he held it up so he could see your face better, and the physical and eye contact made you burn even hotter than you were already feeling, and hotter than the soup that had burnt your mouth.
he wiped the side of your lip gently, silently, observantly. he didnât speak a word, but this comforting, gentle silence was enough to heal at least 20% of your fever, but somehow made the beating of your heart 80% faster.
