Spice of Life
“Sure, it’s a secret dungeon.” He scoffed, rolling his eyes with a little smirk.
“Any minute now I’m going to press a little button and live broadcast cameras are going to fall from the ceiling while the walls rotate to provide a rack to restrain you on and a wide variety of rope, whips, chains, gas masks and ball gags…I trust you wore your peep-bra and PVC underwear?”
Chuckling to himself, he leaned over to open a nearby drawer to retrieve a first aid kit. “I’m going to stitch your wounds Spice and truth be told, if I had sent you to one of the dungeon’s in the basement of my lair, it wouldn’t be nearly as nice as this.”
Seating himself in front of her, he placed his hands on her knees, glancing at her briefly with a flicker of his eyebrow as he gently slipped her skirt further up her thighs, out of the way of her wounds. “The reason we are not at my lair, is that I know better than to allow deviously intelligent and dangerous individuals such as yourself, access to a place where the weaponry could take out an entire solar system in a matter of minutes.” Taking a needle from the box he started to thread it. “So, you need a shot for the pain or are you going to let me enjoy this a little?”
Spice watched cautiously as he slowly opened the drawer, retrieving the first aid kit ,and smirked to herself. This would be the first time she’d ever be fixed by this evil man. She couldn’t even count the number of times she’d been hit and sliced by him in some way, so this was, in a way, a treat. Hopefully he was as good a surgeon as he was cutting into her.
She returned his quick glance before he pulled up a part of her dress to reveal the deep wounds in her skin. Her teeth clenched together, already remembering what if felt like to be stitched up. This was obviously not the first time she’d have stitches, but it was the first time she would be stitched up by the person that created the wounds. She paused for a moment, knowing that she would prefer if he numbed the area first.
“I’m a tough girl. I think I can handle a little pain.” She said. “Besides, this isn’t my first time being sewed up. I’m a bit of a klutz, as you probably noticed by now.” She giggled.
Reaching forward, Spice poked Rick’s nose with her index finger. “And I’m sure you’re no stranger to making bad decisions yourself. Let’s face it, curiosity has always got the best of us. If I were more of a cautious being, then you, or I, would have been dead when we first met. But, of course, there was no way I was going to drop such an interesting man like yourself.” She tilted her head and gave him a crooked smile. “Tell me, Rick. Why exactly haven’t you tried to kill me? You’ve had so many opportunities, including now. What is it about me that keeps you from murdering me in cold blood? Clearly you don’t trust me and know I’m dangerous. Is it my heartwarming smile?” She chuckled.

Rocker & Spice || Across Space
Rocker too noticed the guards posted outside one of the nearest rooms. Clearly suggesting that whatever was beyond that door needed to be investigated. “I doubt the Boss is in there..” he whispered, nodding towards the room “but the rest of the shipment I’m tracking might be.”
A devilish smirk turned up his face when she spoke and he held the grin as he reached into his inside pocket. “Maybe not up my sleeves per say..” he replied in a hushed tone as he showed her his hand now contained a long thin vile and what appeared to be an earpiece, only when he fitted it to his head it rested against his skull behind his ear rather than inside his ear canal. Once activated, he opened the vile and two very ominous looking spiders crawled out and descended on their silvery threads to the ground, where they made quick work of traversing the distance between Rocker and Spice and the pair of guards.
“That’s it, now from above my beauties.” The musician cooed softly, and though it was hard to see them from this distance, the pair of arachnids climbed the wall, moved to the ceiling and slipped down onto the shoulder of each man undetected. Two perfectly timed gasps of pain escaped the men as they were bit in a precise location on their necks before they slumped over dead from the lethal neurotoxin.
Smiling proudly, he straightened up a bit and pulled at the lapels of his coat in a showy fashion, clearly believing he’d impressed the pants off her, something his neural manipulated spiders usually did. With a huff of satisfaction through his nose, he moved quietly across the hall to claim the pair of guns from the guards, handing one to his companion, then did a quick search of their persons for anything else useful. Obediently the now exhausted spiders crawled back into their containment vile and he tucked them back into his pocket.
“Alright, let’s go.” He prompted, opening up the door to the room and slipping right inside. The onslaught of bright light beyond the doorway however had him blinking frantically to adjust his vision. His nostrils were filled with perfumed scents and the air in here was very humid. It seemed as though they had stumbled into a bathing room. A melodic voice carried across the space as a lean female alien of small stature wrapped in a towel passed by another partially opened door just across the room. “Ambrosia.” Rocker mumbled, with a groan of frustration checking his watch. They didn’t have time for this.
“Bosses wife.” He explained to Spice in a way that clearly sounded as if he was withholding something. He cracked the door to look back out into the hallway to determine if they could slip back out that way but too late.
“Ahhh! Mon Cherie!” A heavily alien accented voice announced they’d been spotted as the woman scurried across the room towards them “I knew ‘ou woulda be returning to be, just like ‘ou promised!” Noticing Spice however, affection dropped from her tone as she demanded “Who is dis?” She put her small hands on her hips.
“Uh.. heh..” Rocker chuckled nervously, last thing they needed was for her to raise an alarm. He looked at Spice helplessly, clearly caught off guard by the situation. “My pilot” he lied “of the ship I’ve hired to get you off of here.” He further fabricated flawlessly. As Ambrosia squealed with glee and grabbed the musician into a tight hug Rocker gave Spice a wide eyed look trying to communicate silently for some assistance incapacitating the woman.
Those spiders were a neat trick. She didn’t think it was possible to ‘train’ bugs. Spice raised a brow in disbelief as the two guards fell to the floor lifeless. Were there bugs like this on his home planet, or were they somehow manufactured in some way? She would surely have to find out if she gets out of here alive.
Spice slowly got up from the floor after Rick, still shocked and confused by what just happened. She returned his look of accomplishment with a faint smile and little nod. Every second she spent with him was surprisingly exciting and unexpected. Her smile grew even more as she was handed the gun, and began to study it. Weapons really fascinated her, especially those from other planets.
She nodded as he led the way into the next room where the rich, flowery, smell was coming from. It was so strong, it was almost impossible to hold back a sneeze. Spice squinted, and looked up at Rick starting to feel like he had more going on with these aliens than she thought. She almost jumped out of her boots when she heard the loud, almost annoying, female voice that seemed to come out of nowhere.
A long smirk stretched across her lips when Spice could tell what kind of situation they were in. Oh, so he was ‘that’ type of man, eh? Spice tilted her head, smiling back at her. Looking back at Rick almost made her laugh when she saw the sort of distressed look on his face.
Spice decided he deserved what was coming to him and took a moment to let the woman hug him out, then she finally decided enough was enough.
“Sorry honey.” Suddenly, Spice locked her rifle in her hands and quickly knocked the poor woman in the head, knocking her to the ground, unconscious. “… he will have to call you back.”
She smirked and glanced back up at Rick. “Why am I not surprised?” She chuckled and poked his nose with her index finger. “You seem like the type to hit and run… but just as a heads up… if you ever lie to me like you did to her, and god knows who else, I’ll rip out your tongue.”
Spice of Life
The sight of her pain was fairly amusing, the sight of her annoyance however was absolutely delicious. He wasn’t sure why but Spice, who seemed extremely astute and dangerous seemed to be consistently making bad decisions around him, as if his influence somehow appealed to the most reckless parts of her. He liked that about her of course, her recklessness, her desire for a little self-destruction; it definitely matched his own.
A gentleman…a fireman’s lift allowed a good look at her tight rear as it sat on his shoulder, carrying her bridal style of course meant that tight rear was being cradled in his arms, the latter more appealing because being a ‘gentleman’ was, in fact, the last thing on his mind.
Dialling some co-ordinates, he shot open a shimmering emerald portal before stooping to scoop her up, grimacing as the pain in his shoulder protested the movement. Getting a good hold of her he smiled at her, basking in her vulnerability for a moment, a side of her he had only seen once before when she was spilling her tears on the floor of his ship.
“You’re heavier than you look.” He grinned. “Must be all that lean muscle.” Raising an eyebrow he laughed then stepped directly through the portal with her cradled in his arms.
When they emerged on the other side it was onto a planet that was a desolate wasteland, brown dried undisturbed earth situated under a hazy red sky, a planet where the only thing to be seen on the horizon was a large metal containment chamber and dust rising in clouds like tiny tornados, combing across the arid landscape.
Hoisting her in his arms a little, to get a better grip he made his way towards the singular structure. As they approached and were instantly caught in the sights of a gun canon placed on top of the container, Evil Rick halted as he waited for the system to scan him. As it finished, a light on the gun switched from red to green and the container door hissed as it opened. Stepping inside, he carefully laid Spice down and closed the door tightly before taking a deep breath of air; the oxygen concentration inside the container was much more concentrated than on the planet’s surface. Evil Rick was convinced that less than two days spent on that surface would definitely result in respiratory failure but of course that was the point when choosing a hideout; it was best to ensure its surroundings were entirely inhospitable.
“Welcome home.” He joked with a wink, as if he planned to keep her here permanently.
She quickly returned the somewhat suggestive smile that he gave her. The poor man seemed completely distracted from the amount of blood slipping out the stab wound in his shoulder, or it was more likely that he didn’t care. His joke made her roll her eyes a bit. It sounded like something her partner Dice would come up with.
Spice tensed up a bit, finding herself pull her body more closer to his, as the temperature suddenly changed. It was almost like jumping into a pool. She was definitely expecting the environment to change, but nothing like this. The air seemed musty and almost as if she were breathing microscopic pieces of debris, like something you would use in some kind of smoke grenade. Spice clenched her teeth as she was carried through the unsettling wasteland and was already starting to miss home.
The large gun that jumped from the top of the chamber almost scared her as she was quickly starting to realize she was, once again, trapped in uncharted territory. As he stepped inside and laid her down, Spice already began to scan her surroundings, looking for ways out, potential weapons; the usual routine. Except this time, she knew any sort of attempt to violence or escape was irresponsible and would surely cost her life. Instead she took a deep breath and carefully kept her eyes on Rick, trying her best to keep herself calm.
Spice smirked at his comment, almost worried that it wasn’t a joke. “I take it you don’t like to have company over… that or you really don’t trust me.” She smirked. In her experience she could already tell this was not what this man could call “home”. She too had her own private places in case of an emergency.
“So what is this place, some kind of secret dungeon?” She asked sarcastically, smiling up at him.
