Time to be dramatic again!
First, let me give you context... I read tarot and Lenormand, they’re part of my religious practice, tools I use for a lot of things and stay connected with my spiritual guides and ancestors. At some point, half as a joke and half because I cannot exist without trying to understand what’s coming, I started pulling cards for F1 and some of those spreads… They started to feel consistent in a way that’s hard to ignore!
It started simple...
George, in my tarot readings, always shows up as the Magician, over and over again, every time it felt less like coincidence and more like the deck insisting on a point. Potential for a championship, yes, but never as something handed to him, always relient on one thing, focus, sustained, deliberate work.
And the more I sat with that, the more it made sense, because the magician it is direction. It is will made visible, the figure that stands between what exists and what could exist, one hand to the sky, the other to the earth, translating intention into reality not through force, but through awareness, through control of timing, of narrative, of self, of transformation. Nothing about him is accidental, It's work!
And george lives in that space, in that translation between intention and outcome, but he has never been agressive enough for people to cheer him, never raw enough to be forgiven for wanting, so they call him calculated, as if calculation were a flaw, as if discipline were something to be ashamed of, anyway!
So i started looking at it from another angle, to understand more.
I like to read in layers, tarot for what is personality, internal, motivations, for what is felt and transformed and Lenormand for the gossip, the tangible, the external, less about the personality and more about the things that happen whether you’re ready or not. Anyone who reads Lenormand, anyone familiar with the Baralho Cigano, knows that’s where the real tea is.
And in my Lenormand spreads, he is the rider.
The rider, to me, echoes the magician in a different language. He is the start, firts card, movement, urgency, something already in motion, something that does not wait to be acknowledged, it insists on arrival. It is the refusal to stagnate, the certainty that something is coming, that something is being delivered, whether the world is ready for it or not.
And for a while, that was enough! But then a pattern started forming as the races went. In my lenormand spreads, there’s a combination that has been repeating itself in a way that’s starting to feel less like coincidence and more like insistence. The rider is there and next to it, the fox.
And I won't lie, I like the rider with the fox. I actually do. Because when these two come together, there’s something sharp about it, it’s cunning, strategy! Not just wanting something, but knowing how to go get it, knowing where to step, when to move, when to hold back. If it were just those two, I'd be thrilled. I'd say he has everything he needs, the drive and the cleverness to make it happen.
The problem is that it never stops there, because the serpent comes with them and that’s where the story shifts.
Because the serpent doesn’t erase the rider, it doesn’t cancel the fox, but by wrapping itself around them, by existing in that same space where movement and strategy should be enough. The serpent, in this context, it is something colder, something concealed, it feels like something that interferes quietly, something that inserts itself between intention and result in a way that is difficult to isolate but impossible to ignore. It is hidden enemies, quiet manipulation, situations that are not what they present themselves to be.
So what you get is not a lack of movement and drive, because the rider is still there, not a lack of intelligence, because the fox is still there, but a kind of distortion in the process, as if the path itself is being altered just enough to make things harder than they should be. Things don’t stop, but they don’t land cleanly either, they are delayed, slightly off.
And when this combination repeats itself, rider, fox, serpent, again and again, it starts to feel less like a random configuration and more like a pattern of interference, ensuring that nothing comes easily or directly and that, more than anything, is what makes the reading feel heavier than before!
And if there’s one thing both Tarot and Lenormand have taught me, it’s that when something insists on repeating itself, it’s not trying to scare you, it’s trying to be understood or be avoided.
And I do understand it or at least enough to know that none of this cancels what’s at the center of it all. Because the rider is still there, the movement hasn’t stopped, the magician hasn’t disappeared! Still shows.
Miami made that impossible to ignore, especially in the final stretch, the way he finds something extra when it matters, the way everything sharpens when he’s pushed and I still can’t get it out of my head that Max being right there is part of what pulls that out of him, like something in George refuses to stay contained when there’s a challenge staring him down and it makes sense, because he’s always been open about it, that what he wants most is a real fight with Max!
When that switch flips, when he’s truly motivated, he becomes something else entirely and when he does, it’s undeniable what he is, an talented driver, hard-working, focused, someone who understands exactly what he’s doing and why he’s doing it!
He is the magician, the rider and the fox. And from the bottom of my heart, I hope he kills the snake and shows the proof of it.
...On a side note, Oscar's readings shows up for me as the Emperor or The Devil (and sometimes the tower, but that’s a conversation for another day) and honestly that tells me everything I need to know about his personality. That man is intense, a little bit of a menace and a freak, can't hide the cards don't lie 😭
