There is a pause given to that, and it’s clear the cogs are turning in the spider’s head for a second before he finally gives a look of recognition.

He would probably get a smack for that later but for now, he just grins.

She’d consider it? Well that was more than he expected to get out of her.

To Angel, she and Al were both a little more reserved than most. He assumed Al had always been that way and well-- That it more or less rubbed off on her after a while.

“Yeah? Guess I’ve just been like this fer so long I don’t think about it anymore.” He chuckled and shrugged.

“That’s kinda the biggest key ta tha whole thing. Just don’t give a shit what others might think or say. Once yer in that mindset, then it’s easy.”

There he is, leaning over the balcony with a cigarette in his hand, and a tired look on his face.

He hadn’t slept in a few days, thanks to that good ‘ole PTSD. 

The nightmares had been especially terrible this week alone.. It was almost like after working for so long, now that he had a break... His brain couldn’t rest.

There was no hit of dopamine, or pleasure, or really anything good that normally distracted him from racing thoughts. It was just him, Nuggets, and that dark hotel room that made the quiet almost unbearable.

Maybe.... Maybe he should do something today....

Always the gentlemen, of course. “I think two people can eat a village worth of food, don’t you?” It was clearly a joke, a jest, truly. Some sinners in hell however might be able to seriously do just that.    

“Fair ‘nough.” He grinned.

True, there really wasn’t anything Alastor couldn’t do. Angel had seen only a little bit of his power, and even that little bit was unfairly extravagant.

And yet, here he was still pulling a chair out for Angel. 

What a gentleman.

Angel takes a seat at that, and gives a tiny smile down at his plate. And after being pushed in, he takes a fork and wastes no time digging in.

“So m’bet its been reeeal quiet ‘round here without me huh?”
