When my classmates found out that I was an atheist, they kept asking me if I believed in the Greek gods. Which was stupid. Not because believing in Greek gods is stupid but because the only reason they were asking me that was because I just liked Percy Jackson.
I think Hellenists are the only religious people I can actually vibe with because even though their gods have done some pretty missed up things in their stories, many of them are respectful, don't try to convert you and you can actually expect basic human decency from them. Meanwhile how can you god be shitty and you as a a follower are also shitty??? Like tf.

If you said no, I understand being annoyed, especially with the context of religious trauma and all, but you aren't acting much better than how you claim religious people act

When you tend to have more positive experiences with one group more than the other, it is hard to see beyond those personal patterns. It’s a common human response: when someone experiences repeated pressure or judgment from certain dominant groups (like the first post OP made), and quiet acceptance from a minority group, their brain naturally forms a shortcut based on survival and comfort rather than strict logic. I took a look at OP's blog and even their intro post implies the fact that they might struggle from religious trauma considering the fact that they ban even those who are devout, so they cannot really take the whole thing with nuance.
