If memory serves me correctly, there was no real talk about periods during sex education. For one thing, the classes came way too late. Most of the girls had their periods during Primary School and would have been taught the proper period lessons about from their mothers. I suspect most mothers did not teach the sons the same things. When you actually reached the sex education classes years down the road in secondary school, it was mostly about pregnancy. The classes had been split into girls and boys. Girls were shown a video of delivery, possibly to hammer in the point that pregnancy is awful and we should be celibate forever. I have NO idea what the guys learnt.
