Eyebrows shooting up higher than her expectations for this conversation ever had been, she turned her attention to the man, regarding him carefully as her lips pursed. That was an AWFULLY polite way to say that she looked like SHIT. She was far from OFFENDED, however. If anything, the concern the other felt for her warmed her ‘cold’ demeanor just a bit more.
Skipping over the inquiry much like one would skip ROCKS on a POND, however, she instead responded to the other’s comment about the frog, who had hopped over to her and jumped on her knee, making a rather pleased sound, seeming happy that they were talking about her.

The moment a human presence had made itself known, Red had been prepared to eliminate it just like all others who came on to this property. THIS HOUSE KNEW DEATH LIKE A LOVER, AND DANGER’S CARESS WAS ANOTHER ASSOCIATE. The violence was so automatic, so absolutely thoughtless that she rarely noticed what she was doing... And yet, as she stopped before the man, detached eyes settled on the frog in his hands, lucidity began to fill her gaze.
AND THEN HE SPOKE.
Shock cut through her cold shell-- Since when had a human been able to see her without her allowing them to? This boy must be sensitive. Empathetic to others emotions.
