i. Hello, my name is October and I’m the admin of this blog. I go by Toby for short, or gatekeeper for long!
ii. If my writing style seems a bit familiar it’s because I use to write under a different name for creepypasta about 2-3 years ago, scary-mostaccioli. My friend Huney & I started that blog together for the sake of being able to have a creative outlet, but I’ve found over the time since I had paused my writing that I do miss it and I wish to return, so I made my own blog for it! Sadly a bit messily as of this moment.
iii. I do wish to note while I (October) will be the main writer on this blog, I do have DID and other alters have expressed wishes to write as well. This will hopefully allow them a chance to write and hold a positive creative outlet as well! They may or may not tag themselves in the tag on their posts.

i. this is about requests here! honestly if you request a character I’ll most likely know them, if not I may ask you to re-request with a link to the story of the character so I can read through a few times and get a personality to stick for them !
ii. in terms of rules, the typical apply. no extremism, homo/transphobia, incest, pedophilia, etc. Keep in mind I am allowed to deny any request with any reason, which may not be explained. I’ve never really had a problem with this though, so happy requesting!

GATEKEEPER: as of having just finished the first writing post for this blog, I’ll admit that there’s been plans for writing headcanons for ALL the characters who may appear on this blog. As such, I do wish to set up a vote as to which character gets title of next headcanon list. I’ll do this in several sections, but first will allow groupings just to make it easier to see who all I’m open to writing for! At least as of now. Feel free to vote on groupings as well as comment specific characters in the comment box as well- the most popular group will be the next voting section unless enough peopel are willing to drop characters in comments. For as long as ‘it’ could remember, ‘it’ had always existed. For the being, there was no creation, no defining point of origination, no birth- just existence. Along with this, there was no need for growth to be marked throughout an existence without change, there was no need for name, there was no need for concern about the concept of death. After all, if one does not come into existence through natural means, what is there in worry of death without granting of life? What need is there for a name that holds power to a being that does not wish to be controlled? What is the point in worrying over an abstract ideal if the primary event needed to cause such a thing never occurred? All ‘it’ knew was all that it had experienced in centuries of existence, as well as the fear of which people spoke into existence alongside of him. After all, there is a point in keeping quiet about those that you fear. If enough know and believe, it may be enough to bring even a simple ideal or tale into existence.
⨂ ALWAYS WATCHES, NO EYES ⨂
In the beginning of the warnings many would pass, word of mouth was the only way for humans to identify ‘it’ as well as quickly let others around know. As such, it was complex for a fully noted appearance to be identified for the being. Despite this, across centuries there were several simple traits that allowed humans to let their companions know of the figure that had plagued the minds of those who had seen ‘it.’ The easiest way that many described the being was that despite being somewhat humanoid in appearance, there were many unsettling qualities such as an unnatural paleness to a point of lacking color. “White, whiter than white- skin of a sickly shade.” Along with this, a common lack of features aided in the recognition of the being paired with not only an unnatural height (“taller than any man could ever hope to be,” as described by many) but a body so thin in appendages and torso that it seemed to strike a plethora of wonder on how ‘it’ could survive. Few of those who told the tales of ‘it’ had ever seen the being. Those who gave any more of a description due to sighting of the being had mentioned in some cases a featureless face “ripping itself open into a mouth holding rows upon rows of sickeningly sharp teeth- enough to split hair and possibly bone even on their own accord.” Any who made this kind of added appearance to the being had mysteriously disappeared with unexplained speed off the face of the earth, never to be heard from again.
⨂ DONT LOOK…OR IT TAKES YOU ⨂
The being tends to have a behaviorism that is described as being both “animalistic” as well as “sapient.” The mixture of both a wise, human-esk behavior as well as a more instinct-based physical approach, thus making ‘it’ both unpredictable and personal. ‘It’ is seen to watch its victims prior to any form of action. This stalking is assumed to be in order to gain intel prior to taking any form of action followed with various forms of torture or even abduction paired with disorder in the brain/thought process. Despite these notes ‘it’ is also known to despise additional attention. If you look for ‘it,’ it will find you. Any victim of ‘it’ has met uncertain ends, alluding to ‘it’ not only holding discomfort of others knowing about ‘it’ or the methods used by such.
⨂ CANT RUN ⨂
The figure is known to have a variety of differing abilities. The studied abilities that ‘it’ has shown are as follows:
• teleportation- while this ability works with ‘it’ and with others, it has been noted that with a victim ‘it’ typically takes said victim to a large body of water in order to drown the victim. ‘It’ has also been seen to take away the bodies of others, though the location of these bodies are unknown. when this ability is used on ‘it,’ however, movement is either to a specific location or in short distances to reach a goal.
• time travel- another ability expressed is some form of time travel. some victims will enter a building within range of ‘it’ and exit moments later to a different place in time. (expressed in marble hornets entry #72)
• mind control- ‘it’ gains strength with varying forms of mental influence, no matter how great of a hold ‘it’ has on the victim. despite this, it is seen that there are some medications that can at minimum weaken the mental hold to a victim which has appeared to cause a weakening effect in the being.
• electronic interface- while ‘it’ is near there is a possibility of electronics gaining unexplained damage. along with this both video and audio distortion are often noted around ‘it’ or while ‘it’ is on video. While it may not occur every time, it does appear to be more common with strong negative emotions.
• memory loss- commonly occurring around ‘it,’ memory loss can be both short and extended periods of time.
•behavioral changes in others (victims)
• ‘it’ may cause pain or other forms of personal debilitating effects- especially in victims who have been around ‘it’ longer.
• may cause ‘the sickness’ as a sign of being near.
• possesses ability to change the length of limbs such as arms or legs, but does not have tendrils.
⨂ HELP ME ⨂
A lingering sign of ‘it’ or it’s influence is called “The Sickness.” This illness is seen in those who encounter ‘it.’ The symptoms tend to grow worse and worse with each encounter. The symptoms of this illness are coughing fits (may include blood), nausa/vomiting (may include blood), paranoia, fatigue, bloody nose, fever symptoms, amnesia, convulsions/seizures, and aches/pain (especially in swallowing/breathing). Victims of this illness commonly show signs of radiation poisoning as well. While there is no known cure, anticonvulsants have been used by some who experience this illness to lessen the symptoms.
⨂ LEAVE ME ALONE ⨂
While there is no known location as to the residence of this dangerous being, it is advised that low population areas are avoided at night. Forests/woods as well as abandoned buildings, large bodies of water and parks in the late hours of the evening. By all means, DO NOT LOOK FOR THE BEING.
⨂ FOLLOWS ⨂
As ‘it’ is able to control or manipulate the mind, the being has managed to accumulate a varying count of followers or aids to do the dirty work. While ‘it’ may not necessarily have to give full sentience to the victims it plays with, ‘it’ has managed to either sway or control those who show promise in order to gain benefit on the end of end being. These followers, often labeled as “proxies” by outside sources, are known to be violently insane and show enjoyment in harm toward others. While these proxies at times do have the ability to retain a free will through an arrangement or deal of sorts, those who do not cooperate are typically either controlled or disposed of.

NOTE: as I am aware of the operator and slenderman being two seperate entities that bend and shape the same mythos, for the fun of this blog and the sake of including several more marble hornets characters I kind of ,, blended the two.
