”You know, considering the living condition you’re in and the friends that you keep, I’m surprised that you don’t have an STD or some shit like that. Do you really fuckin’ think that I have sex with hookers? No, I have sex with strippers. And why the hell should I tell you since you’re so disbelieving, huh?” When Waylon moved closer, Michael just moves farther away, not wanting to even talk anymore because of their current conversation.
"I told you. I am clean.”
「 ❤️ 」 “So.”
“You do have sex with strippers.”
B u s t e d. He almost laughed at how the mans own anger made him rat him- self out like that. Grinning, he felt his own personal victory for this argument. Soon over later Micheal is going to punch him in the nose, he wouldn't put it past the man to resort to violence.
"It’d happen more often if you’d let it, Waylon. Just think about that.”
He wasn’t going anywhere, not any time soon. If he cares for someone, it was genuine and he was going to stick by them no matter what. Whether Waylon liked it or not, Leon was here to stay. He cared about the man, and he was going to see it through that he got out of whatever slump he was in. He was going to make him realize he is worth caring for.
"If I felt bad for you, then you would have known. Stop trying to deny what’s true, Waylon. It’s not helping you in the least.”
「 ❤️ 」 He let out a long sigh, shoulders drooping to add to his clear defeat. There was no point in arguing with the man, stubborn as a mule. Waylon shrugged his shoulder, giving a half-hearted mumble of a reply. “Never become a therapist.” He begged, “talking all your patients into submission.” that would be pretty unethical of him. He gave in easily, growing something of a backbone after Murkoff didn't help much when it came to trying to one up the agent.
“Call me skeptical.”

"You’d better be taking good care of that pup I got you. Or Franklin will chop off your fuckin’ balls.”
Michael was serious about it. He had gotten the puppy, even had to ask Franklin many times for it to be put in his possession. The older man takes a look around Waylon’s apartment, searching for the dog. It’s been some time since he was over, so the puppy must have grown some. “I got him some stupid treats. Lady at the store said dogs love them.”
"That dog is spoiled rotten."
「 ❤️ 」 “--Hack!” He called out, wondering where dopey mastiff was off to. Seconds after his name was called, the pup tumbled into the room, slightly larger then Michael had last seen him. He now had chain collar on with a tag that were proof of his shots. Waylon crouched down and made a few kissy sounds, sending the dog barreling towards them with his tongue hanging out. “Sugar daddies brought you some treats!”

Sebastian didn’t really think him staying would be a good idea. Making friends with the witness/information source wasn’t his ideal way to spend the night, nor was it his goal. He had a case to get to, a case he needed to solve as soon as possible. And wasting it here talking wasn’t going to get the case to progress any further, especially when he was the one who had the notes with the key information. But…it was awkward how the other man asked him to stay, not really expecting it. And the detective wasn’t much company anyway.
"Fine." He replies, sipping at the coffee again. He’ll stay. "But after I finish this mug, I’ve gotta go. Got a case on my hands, you know." A murder case, and the station didn’t usually like keeping ones like these open for more than necessary. These were top priority cases, ones that needed to be solved first before anything else was to be done. But he guessed he liked the company, it was a change from the ususal Joseph and Kidman.
"So… why exactly did you ask me to stay? I don’t even know what to talk about now…"
“You're aggressively docile.”
「 ❤️ 」 He commented, almost amused at how Sebastian agreed to sit here and finish coffee, but treated it as if it were a chore for him. Waylon nodded, understanding. Of course, he couldn't just stay here all day, but he didn't want that. Just a few minutes. Soon, he'll be one of those men who pay hookers to talk to them. He can feel his sad future becoming inevitable. It starts with luring cops to stay over for ten more minutes, then deteriorates into sexless nights with hookers. Without speaking aloud, Waylon chuckled, shaking his head gently, mentally scolding himself for thinking up something so ridiculous.
The technical engineer eyed him for a moment, not really sure how to answer that. He didn't have an exact reason for asking the other to stay. To avoid the impending loneliness that would settle once Detective Castellanos leaves? “You...don't have regular conversations often, do you?” He questioned once he realized this guy was just as awkward as him. This wouldn't end well. Put two incapable guys together, makes for a perfect small talk combination.
“Just to talk, you talk, don't you?” He couldn't help but smile at that, regarding the other with a 'Are you for real?' expression.
; Who eats Denny's at 2 AM?
The usual? Man, Waylon must come here often for him to have a ‘usual’. And it was safe to say that Sebastian didn’t have a usual anywhere, not having enough time to eat out all that often, really. But— there was one place he did had a usual at, the Starbucks shop down the road from the police station he worked that. They knew him name, his orders, and what he was in the mood to eat or drink just by looking at his expression. Sometimes, when he didn’t come in for at least 12 hours, the employees would ask where he’s been. He just hoped the coffee at this joint would taste half as decent as his Starbucks made his.
"Too much information." The detective says with a laugh when the comment about teenagers and porn came up. "But at least ‘just some technical help’ is a start right? It’s getting you out of that shit-hole apartment." It was definitely better than staying there where his neighbors undoubtedly hate him for being involved with the police in the case of Mrs. Summers. Money really was money, and having a steady flow of it was good. Especially if it put you in a better suited environment. Away from murder cases, one might say. But it wouldn’t be the same for Sebastian, he lived to solve cases.
"I mean, you can feel free to talk tech, I won’t understand it, but I’ll just nod and pretend I do.”
「 ❤️ 」 If he knew about Sebastian's boner for Starbucks he would be compared to a teenage girl who walked around in yoga pants and those show shoes. He liked coffee as much as the next guy, but didn't depend on the drink as much as his companion did. Then again, he didn't sleep and have to work endless hours, unlike Sebastian. “You think a passing comment is too much?” He laughed “You should have seen their hard drive.” Even he felt a little dirty.
Waylon nodded, tapping his fingers against the table. No real beat to them, just a nervous twitch. It wasn't the mans company that made him nervous, if anything, he felt a sense of security. A man in a whole other world away from Waylon, this man seemed to be a brick when it came to most things, and technology the least of his concerns. Unlike Waylon, who practically lived off of the latest and greatest inventions. A shit apartment didn't stop him from having an Iphone or an expensive laptop. They were really the only materials he owned, everything else were required for maintaining a healthy well being. Another thing, he didn't hear the man joke often. He was always serious, work his number one priority. So the adorable little 'I'll pretend to' had Waylon snorting.
“Hm, cute.”
Then he went into it, explaining in detail every step his job is required to take, how doing this will do that and how doing that may mess up this so then he would have to go back to doing this and that to fix what was previously broken, fixed, and then broken once more. Maintaining systems is what he is good at. Fixing what's broken, hacking, coding, everything. A hobby that made him money, even if not a lot. “Are you keeping up?”
"…Yeah, are you sure we can’t go back in.” Please go back in.
「 ❤️ 」 “----Lets just order pizza.” The world can come to them. The outside wins this time.
"Why would you want to come out here anyway?” Jesus christ that was a lot of light.
「 ❤️ 」 “Good God this is hell.” They can't always be trapped indoors.

「 ❤️ 」 “I feel like I haven't set foot outside in centuries.” He comments, wincing at the sun.

Man bites dog | LeonSKennedy
“Sore eyes, huh?” Leon asks with a smirk, “I’m sure I’m a sight for healthy eyes too. Did you see the nurses? They wouldn’t stop staring at me.” He says with a light laugh as the man checks himself out at the front desk. “Yep. Got a whole bottle of narcotics just waiting to jump into my mouth.” The agent replies, patting his pocket where the bottle was to make sure it was there. Really, Leon didn’t plan on taking many of them, only just enough to ease his pain away. He didn’t want to end up a drug addict or something. And— if it does end up happening, he’ll just blame Waylon for it. After all, he was, indirectly, the cause of him getting injured and needing the medicine in the first place.
“But hey, I’m fine, alright? Get that worried look off your face.” Leon jokes, nudging the man with his elbow as they walk out of the exit and to the parking lot. Once more, they get into the car, with Leon in the driver’s seat. He didn’t think Waylon would be fit to drive, since he was the more…unstable of the two men. Leon wasn’t anxious, probably the affect of the pain killers putting him in a good mood even after all the shit that happened. He takes to the streets, heading back to Waylon’s apartment complex, stopping and parking in the space he had previously occupied.
”You should probably get some clothes and such for a few days. I don’t think this place will be getting cleaned for awhile.”
"I think they were waiting for you to drop dead."
「 ❤️ 」 Waylon replied, teasing. Even he had to admit Leon looked good with a split lip and a few new scratches. The man didn't even have to try, something the tech almost envied. Natural good looks must be amazing. He only offers an easy smile towards the other, finally relaxing now that he's realized that everything was okay. The storm passed. Leon was okay, and didn't seem to be too mad about the earlier events. “This worried face is thinking about my apartment, that you ruined.” Joking, of course, and his inability to hide his smile made that much obvious.
It really said something about him when the man who was mauled and in surgery still takes the drivers seat. He stares for a moment, wondering if he should protest and insist on driving while Leon is doped up on pain killers. “I'll pack anything that doesn't have blood on it.” The man stated, leaving the car and going up into his apartment. It really was a mess. Not as bad as he previously believed, maybe that was the panic. Now that he was a clear head, it didn't seem so bad. Still, he avoiding any eye contact with the corpse rotting in his bed sheets.
It didn't take him long to throw everything he needed into a bad and get back into the others car. A part of him new he should get into his own car and drive himself to Leon's place, but he didn't feel like it right now. Worst case is he pays a tow truck or Leon gets to play taxi. “Well, anything else I need I'll just buy.” He reasoned, quelling any anxiety.
“ Ready. ”
“ DEAD men aren’t a surprise anymore. ”

;Call me maybe
Sebastian listens, taking notes when necessary, and occasionally sipping at the slightly bitter coffee he was given. The lack of creamer really did make a difference in taste, but at least he was more awake than he had previously been. He sighs, pen taking noes, but there wasn’t much to take notes on. Basically, what he got from the information Waylon gave, was that the husband was a giant douche. And he also had the assumption that he believed the husband committed the murder. Huh, guy had some strong opinions. He’ll keep that in mind when he’s questioning the suspects.
"Right… So let’s go over the gist of what you said. The husband is a dick, and you think he committed the crime. Am I wrong?" The detective asks, picking up the coffee mug and taking another small sip. It was still a bit hot, and scalded his tongue slightly, but it kept him warm in the cool weather of the night. "Well, I can’t make any biased opinions on the case, but I’ll keep what you said in mind when I present this information."
"Well, based on the lack of topics to speak about, I assume we’re done here."
「 ❤️ 」 Waylon snorted at that, he wasn't wrong. “Look,” he started, “I'm not the most social guy out there and I certainly don't talk many people here, but just one interaction with that guy will have you believing a brick could hold a better conversation.” He was mundane, stern, and all around just not a nice guy. To Waylon, he was the perfect fit for murder, he seemed like a man who would fall in to a rage. His thoughts were cut off when Detective Castellanos mentioned leaving, and he knew he should have expect it, but he would have liked a little...longer. He shook his head, clearing such inane thoughts away.
“You're not going to finish your coffee?” Since he just made it and all, the mug was still warm so why not waste a few more seconds with the recluse witness? Waylon tilted his head in question, not wanting to display anything that might make this awkward. “This is really the longest I've talked...” He laughed, quiet and gentle, “to anyone, in a long time.” Even the phone calls to his boys were short lived, and he didn't really consider talking over the phone a conversation.
“What's 10 more minutes?”
;What the fuck!
“Yeah, because your fucking hollering is making it so much more easier to drive. Why don’t you shut your goddamn pie hole before I do it for you.” Michael warns, once again bringing the gun up and aiming it to the other. If he even thought about taking the gun, well too bad for that idea. Michael’s grip was rock solid, this gun was going nowhere. And if he tried anything, there would be a bullet coming out of the barrel of the gun. “STOP FUCKING SCREAMING!”
He aims a glare at the curly haired man, a deep growling sound coming from his throat. God if he would just fucking stay calm, then shit would go much smoother. “I’ll drive faster when you shut the fuck up!” He yells out, finally losing his patience with this screeching man. Did he have to fucking shove his damn socks down his damn mouth to keep him quiet?! For fucks sake! “Just be quiet! I’ll lose them, you just hush!” He was under enough pressure as it is! He didn’t need a backseat driver telling him what he already knew to do.
「 ❤️ 」 “Hate to break it to you, Michael, but the car won't physically MOVE faster if I just stopped talking.” Waylon snapped, trying to figure out another way of freaking the fuck out that wouldn't put a bullet in his brain. He gripped the strap of his seat belt, blunt nails digging into the texture to keep his head leveled. This was --unreal. “You can put that up, look at me, you think I could take you?” Just please put the gun up, he's going to throw up on himself from fear if it remains where it is now. It's not that he believed the man would kill him for the hell of it, but accidents happen, as in hitting a bump in the road and clenching the trigger. That would be all it takes.
Waylon started to breath quickly, clamping a hand over his mouth in an attempt to not have a panic attack while on a high speed chase in his stolen car, not to forget the fun pointed at him. “If I have a heart attack just let me die.” He choked out, clenching his eyes. Waylon didn't have to tell him to go ahead and keep driving, he's sure the man would anyways. In through his nose, out through his mouth, breathe, Waylon, breathe. This guy didn't seem like the type to think twice about someones personal problems, his being attacks, only here, at least he wasn't in the dark or a hospital. That was something, he focused on that, staring out the window with a determination to convince himself that this is better than...well, anything.
“Oh God I'm going to have a life crises on a cop chase.”
; Who eats Denny's at 2 AM?
Denny’s wasn’t really his first choice for dining out. Especially at 2 am. Weren’t people supposed to be sleeping at this time? Sebastian knows he should be, but a last-minute case has him working a double shift so he had to stay over. But he found it surprising that Waylon would call him at such a late hour. Guess he was nocturnal or something. Here they were though, sitting in a booth at the local eatery. At least it was cheap and fast. Something that would be dubbed ‘efficient’ but the quality of the food was questionable. He knows if Myra were here, she would probably hate it. “Yeah? What about him?” The detective asks, still looking over the menu but listening to the other man.
"Well, it wasn’t mine or my team’s fault you were ratted out. We kept it confidential, must’ve been one of your neighbors or something." He says, eyes scanning over the food choices. What was even good here? Thoughts like those ran through his head, trying to find out which mean would be least likely to give him a heart attack. "Oh yeah? Well congrats," he replies, looking up from the menu to give the man a small smile. "I’ve seen your apartment, it’s shitty. So good on you for scoring a job." He was happy for the man, guess he could finally find a place in the world and maybe learn some better jokes while he’s at it.
Once the waitress came around to take their orders, the detective orders a country-fried steak and eggs. He was sure that would cause some damage to his arteries, but oh well. “So tell me about this new job? You seem quit pleased with it.”
「 ❤️ 」 He'd be lying if he said this wasn't a common thing for him, Waylon often left the house (apartment) at odd hours of the night to get some fresh air. Usually he would go to IHOP, but this place was cheaper and had less people around. MUCH cheaper. He tapped his fingers against the plastic menu, not bothering to even look at it. Okay, so maybe he was here a lot. And he also knew what he wanted. Funny, he thought, right when I thought that I was looking right at him. Waylon eyes the Detective, certainly much older than himself, he'd even guess 8 to 10 years older. At least, he had the appearance of that. Stress was an age'er.
He would know from personal experience, before Murkoff he was actually mistaken for being a younger age quite often, Now? Well, now no one really approached him. Bags under his eyes, only able to maintain a sad smile, and he's sure there are few grey hairs induced from stress hiding within his flock of brown curls. “Uh, the usual.” He mumbled to the woman, Darla, as he remembers, and she nodded “Two coffees?” The tech nodded and she left to get their orders.
Grey eyes looked to the man, his dinner guest. “Just some technical help, but at a permanent location rather than just helping a bunch of teenagers clean porn off their parents laptops before they find out.” Which, yes, he did. Money was money, and with them so desperate to not get in trouble, it was often good money. “Somehow I feel as if you would be confused if I started talking tech to you.”
