Helicopter ride with Rufus Shinra

- He's a busy man. And he's aware that he hasn't been spending enough time with you and he wanna make it up to you.

- Then he remembers the one time you casually mentioned how you've never been on a helicopter before. So he decides to invite you on a helicopter ride to see the night view of Midgar.

- He normally lets the Turks fly him around but on special occasions like this he'd ask for a normal Shinra pilot instead to have some privacy for the both if you.

- It actually all starts out pretty innocently. He really just wanted to have a special date with you-the love of his life-holds your hands, holds you close, kisses you gently, whispers sweet nothing in your ears as you enjoy the night view.

- But being a Shinra probably also means he gets horny easily despite his cool facade has quite a high libido. And things get heated after some quiet make out sessions.

- At first you are too embarrassed and timid to react(knowing you both are not alone) when he initiates something more…exciting, as he slides his hand up your skirt while holding your chin with the other.

- Will laugh at every actors and traps he finds in the haunted house.

- He's being an ass but he's also doing that to help you to relax because he knows you're a scaredy cat.

- He'd roll his eyes and asks you why do you even bother coming to the haunted house if you can't handle it. While holding your hands of course.

- Thinks the popcorn sucks but can't stop eating. Doesn't like cotton candy though.

- Finds being confined in the slow ride of ferris wheel kinda suffocating. But he puts up with it because he knew you have been looking forward to it. (Why tf am I putting up with this again)

- 'But the fireworks look kinda nice from way up here I guess.' He glances at you, 'Not as dazzling as the way this idiot is smiling though. What an idiot.' (p.s. not sure if he means you or him for the last part)

- At the end of day, he didn't hate it because you were with him. 'It was bearable but don't ask this of me EVER AGAIN.'

BONUS

- If you sprain your ankle, he'd give you a piggy back ride without a second thought.

- ' Are you gonna fucking get up or what we don't have all day you know.'

- When you apologize for being heavy though, will turn around to look at you like you just said master xehanort is the best baker in the world and laugh.

- so you guys have been friends for a while and he has started to genuinely enjoy your company but you’re still a pain in the ass sometimes

- it’s become a kinda habit for the both of you to meet up on a daily basis. Hanging out, sparring, bickering, or even visiting other worlds together.

- He’s not entirely sure when it started but sometimes he gets this weird feeling when he sees you, or when you do something. It’s alien. It’s subtle. It’s an emotion that he has never felt before. It’s like… something is fluttering. Which is stupid because he hardly bats an eye even when he’s fighting the toughest opponent, what the fuck could have made him… fluttered?

- It was nothing too dramatic at first. He caught himself paying attention to the small things you do- the way your eyes light up when you’re excited, the way you smile when you see him, the way you chew on your lips when you’re upset because he accidentally says something hurtful, or even the way you blush when he leans in just a little too close when you spar- but he shrugged it off, thinking he was just being perceptive- he was trained to be perceptive after all.

- There was this one time, he didn’t remember what you were saying but you were laughing. And he couldn’t help staring- for just a little longer than necessary. He turned away just in time for you to not notice.

- He also finds himself yearning for your touch. Which was really disgusting to him at first (for having such a thought).

- Even his unversed are acting strange. They have always been kinda on a good terms with you but rn they are basically clinging to you for attention? And you’re hugging them, petting them, giving them stupid pet names- it bugs the hell out of him but he’s not really sure why? (It’s jealousy)

- When you’re not around, he thinks about you and all the fun you have had together. The way you shove him away when he teases you, the warmth your body radiated that one night you fell asleep next to him in the woods, how slender your fingers felt when you insisted to tend for his wounds (a potion would’ve sufficed but maybe you secretly just wanted to touch him too lol)-

- He tries to stay away from you to figure things out on his own because he know there’s definitely something wrong with him. But it’s frustrating to not be able to see your stupid face.

- But Vanitas isn’t as dense as people like to think when it comes to love actually. He knows what it is, after all you need to understand something in other to use it against others. He just never thought it would happen to him that’s why it took him so long to come to the conclusion that he REALLY does have feelings for you. And naturally he isn’t sure of what to do with it. First: he’s witnessed far too many times the consequences it brings to people and the stupid things people do in the name of love, and second: he doesn’t think he’s worthy of something like that, like you. So although he realizes that he is in love but he never intends to confess his feelings for you.

- One day when you’re both very tired after all the battles you’ve done, you lie down side by side gazing at the night sky, slowly drifting to sleep. “Vanitas.” “…Hmm?” “Do you have someone important that you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?” “…You.”

- His reply surprises everyone including himself and neither of you are sleepy anymore. Just when he’s cursing himself for letting it slip and trying to play it off as a joke you can tell how he’s lying by how flustered he is??? Him??? Flustered???? How cute is that????

- You have been hearing rumours about a mysterious masked figure who constantly shows up around town. Driven by curiosity, you try to seek him out.

- He notices and is rather annoyed by the fact that some random stranger is trying to seek him out for whatever reason??? He doesn’t care and he wants to have nothing to do with you so he just tries to stay away whenever you’re in town.

- After a while, he starts to wonder why you are so persistent??????

- One day he steps out of his corridor of darkness right in front of you (he likes dramatic entrance), acting all high and mighty and asks you what business do you have with him. (It scares the shit out of you when a person comes out from a cloud of darkness

- Ever since your first encounter, he doesn’t really try to avoid you anymore and decides to keep you around to help him kill time.

- He’d purposely say some really awful things to you and basically just be a major jerk to test out if you’re gonna give up on him. You never did.

- Instead, you’d retort his mean remarks with some clever comebacks and he’s both amused and impressed. “You’re such an idiot.” “Oh? I see you’re rubbing off on me then:)”

- Despite the fact that he’s now his own person, he’s still not all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes he gets really agitated and hostile when he’s all negative and moody. If he’s not pushing you away you can choose to stay by his side quietly. He might not say it but he appreciates you just being there.

- He’s one of those people who bond with others through fighting???? The more of a challenge you are, the better.

- Is more open to the concept of ‘having fun’ when he’s with you. He never really had the chance to do anything for fun before but after meeting you, he’s somewhat affected by your happy and bubbly personality?? He is willing to try out doing stupid shit with you as long as it’s fun. He has also learn to genuinely laugh instead of just laughing mockingly like he always did.

- If you guys ever go to a concert together and you’re too short to see? He’d let you ride him on his shoulders. Yes he will. (“Are you really sure you’re OK with this?” “Just shut up and get up.”

- Animals likes him????? ("Why do small animals keep following you around??" "How tf should I know?")

- It takes him a really long time to feel comfortable enough to not wear his mask when you're around.

- When you compliment him, his brain will go error 404 at first but once he has processed what you just said he'd give you the biggest shit eating grin ever and say "I know." (Cocky bastard)

- He still finds you super annoying though.

- As time goes by, he starts to look forward to your visits because now that Xehanort is gone, he literally has no one left...It's nice to feel wanted sometimes.

- Once he's feeling comfortable enough with you, his cocky and sassy nature starts to show up. He will call your names and be sarcastic 24/7 whenever he talks to you but that's just his way to express fondness.

- Usually won't call you by your name.

- Is not accustomed to the idea of people genuinely wanting to spend time with him??? ("Why are you still here??" "Because I wanna spend some time with you?? ????")

- He'd brush you off and scoffs at how ridiculous it sounds but deep down he's fucking confused

- Can't understand why you bring him gifts and is really skeptical about it. ("Why are you giving me stuff again?" "Because it reminds me of you!" "Why would a cupcake remind you of me?????")
