Things that feel like leftovers from back when we only had 151 until you notice Lucario got slipped in
There is one very important thing I need people without major dietary restrictions to understand: the distress caused by allergies, celiac disease, and other food restrictions is largely not about the food.
Do I miss some foods I can't eat anymore without getting sick? Sure, but that's not what really bothers me. What bothers me is being excluded from a huge portion of human social life of which food is a crucial component. What bothers me is the stress and social stigma of trying to figure out what I can safely eat. What bothers me is the amount of extra work and cost that is required of me to identify, obtain, and prepare safe foods. What bothers me is people treating my needs like a nuisance, as though I chose to be like this - as though their brief inconvenience to check an ingredients list is unreasonable, when I deal with this every day of my life forever.
I don't miss the food that much. I miss not having to worry about what I eat. I miss freedom. I miss when trying new foods and new restaurants was fun instead of a minefield. I miss not having to plan my entire life around the need for safe foods.
Food is such a basic human need, and a lot of people don't really need to think about it. When your danger foods can be anywhere and everywhere, suddenly your entire life revolves around avoiding them, and it massively sucks. You get used to it and it's not a big deal most of the time, but then you go to a new restaurant, or your office has a potluck, or you've been invited to a party and suddenly it feels just as miserable and exhausting as it ever has.

that's really cool, personally I don't give strangers false information and then get mad at them for believing me
what is this genre of photos called
I am once again begging people to realize that AI checker doesn’t work. it’s never worked. it’s notoriously known to have flagged human-made works as AI and AI-generated works as human-made. and by feeding it people’s works, you are feeding more works to AI, because apparently the machine itself is AI.
the only thing AI checker does is harm genuine artists and people in general too.
they literally deleted all existing reblogs of that post from existence btw<3
and theyre tryin to delete it all again
they're selling anti-ai slogans on sweatshop-produced t-shirts. i don't need to write the poem for you to get it do i
decided to color this without the bucket tool when I had no time to . awesom
I been working to perfect my faithful cover of this song for like a week now...I think I finally got it.

trans women have the site's moderation weaponized against us for years -> staff happy to be complicit -> the media picks up one (1) event that's too blindingly obvious to ignore -> they apologize for not making an excuse earlier, pretend that trying to stay quiet is about the Integrity of The Platform
they clearly think we're idiots, it's just so painfully obvious.
sincerely cracking the fuck up watching tumblr HQ accidentally(???) unbanning pjackk, seeing how we immediately started talking about transmisogynistic moderation bias, and banning pjackk again.
@staff you know we see all this stuff right
okay but seriously what's going on with [tumblr] moderation right now
okay but seriously seriously
Not even in an "I'm outraged" kind of way, in a "genuinely perplexed as to what could be going on behind the scenes to produce these outcomes." I want to stop staring at the shadows on the wall and exit Plato's allegory of the website moderation
I worry a little bit that people who refuse to learn about ai as a part of their anti ai position are going to be extremely unprepared to understand what’s actually scary about it and already have their digital literacy at risk tbh
not that I am some genius in this regard but if you follow ai developments even slightly you might change the things you are most worried about. do people know the extent to which ai is already eating itself and how meaningless this is making swaths of the internet. do people know that there are plenty of random mid-sized companies today buying their employees’ likenesses to create digital clones and using these to make hundreds of videos. I am so much more worried about labor and surveillance and abuse than people becoming lazy about writing emails. and idk man I sort of like and respect people who are willfully ignorant about it as a way of minimizing its force in their lives and I am in some ways jealous but also when I see posts that basically still boil down to “chatgpt will never fool me” I am like 😭😭😭 for one thing not the only thing to be concerned about, for another thing I am really sorry but I don’t think you’re right
i gotta be real with you guys im just sort of stunned tumblr has been running an open-front ZenDesk form for tumblr TOS reporting this whole time that doesnt require any kind of validation except a fucking email address. this one fact alone explains every single "why did so and so get banned for no reason" event of the past X years. however it is equally baffling that i didnt notice it before now. i would say it is baffling they implemented it in the first place but like i said, the management of their website is verifiably not well
i love my boyfriend!!!!!!!!
ok bye
