Here's a source for the analysis, but it probably is not the source.
Workers’ share of US economic output has fallen to its lowest level since the government began keeping records in 1947, according to data th
Some points of interest:
Corporate profits are soaring. After taxes, they now take 12.3 percent of national output, far above their postwar average of 7.3 percent.
Adjusted for inflation, hourly wages have risen 3 percent since the end of 2019, Ip noted. Corporate profits over the same period have risen 50 percent.
The Economic Policy Institute calculates that since 1979 the productivity of American workers has grown 90 percent while the pay of the typical worker has grown 33 percent. Had wages tracked output, the average worker would earn $16.40 more an hour today.
The profits are concentrated among the largest corporations. Earnings at the 500 biggest US firms rose 28 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier, the fastest pace since 2021, and their profit margins reached 14.8 percent. The seven technology giants known as the “Magnificent 7”—Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Tesla—grew their profits 63 percent.
In the United States, the richest 1 percent of households hold 31.7 percent of all wealth. The bottom half hold barely 2.5 percent.

Posts that prove that despite about 300 thousand years of technological development, humanity at its core hasn't really changed all that much
To put it bluntly, the only way to end homelessness is to house people or kill them.
That's it. Those are your options. Homelessness doesn't go away based on "crime crackdowns." You will imprison the unhoused, and when they are free, they will be unhoused again. Or they will die in prison.
When you burn encampments or force people out without their stuff, they remain unhoused or freeze to death.
After working with the unhoused, it's become abundantly clear that those who don't want to support them instead want them dead.
There is blood on the hands of every government and organization that controls the homeless population with force instead of compassion.
One year ago today I posted this miniature Star Wars Andor inspired photo I created. Shot practically using real figures, lighting & a couple of broom heads to create a crop field and a few perspective cheats.
Necessary and sufficient
Adding a second lock was not necessary.
Understanding the difference between necessary and sufficient is necessary, but not sufficient to earn a math degree.
Part 2
Gladly!
A bit more complicated, but sure!
I’ve got a lot of Thoughts(tm) about The Odyssey at the moment, but damnit Blum I’m an archer, not a film critic, so here’s something in my lane!
As someone who read the Odyssey translation all the way through, I note that Odysseus's bow was not a standard Greek bow (whatever those were like). It was a storied bow that went through many illustrious hands before being gifted to him, that originated with the steppe nomads--i.e., it was a Scythian horse bow. A composite bow that is impossible to string if you don't know the trick of it. Blum doesn't mention that, but his brief diagram was that of a composite bow, so I assume he knows that.
Also the axe heads thing? That was a test of accuracy and adequate draw, not armor-piercing. Axe heads had a hole through them for mounting on the haft. Line up twelve of those with the holes in a line, and you have to shoot very straight to go through all 12 holes. Also the bow has to be correctly drawn or the arrow will drop during flight due to lack of kinetic energy and fail to go through all 12 holes. Arrows from a partially-drawn bow (lack of strength), or badly-strung bow (as demonstrated) won't fly straight and true.
i haven’t been real for a few days thinking about becoming real again soon though

Nearly pissed myself laughing earlier when I saw this absolute Looney Tunes truck attempting to transport an oversized mattress down the road with only a couple tiny bungee cords holding on for dear life, while it ballooned out behind the truck like a drag racing parachute:
TikTok is a fundamentally evil app however the reason i use it is because you occasionally stumble across gems like the Chinese power transformer manufacturer who posts kawaii edits of their power transformers

New reaction image for ‘posting something on the internet and having it be wildly misinterpreted’
im sure theres a legitimate canon reason that anakin didnt get executed during order 66 but im obsessed with the idea of palpatine sending out like a mass email to the clones just being like “ps anakin is on our side btw”
pov: you’re the clone trooper that accidentally killed anakin and you have the break the news to palpatine
what if Fox’s chip just straight up didn’t work and when the order went out he saw all his buddies murdering jedi and figured he might as well go along with it and immediately went for anakin because Fox does Not Like general skywalker
so fox just straight up murders Darth Vader and all his brothers are like “dude what the fuck” and Fox is like “were we not killing jedi? I’m sorry i thought it was Kill All the Jedi Day”
I’m sorry but the mental image of fox getting the order and immediately sprinting out of the senate building, comming Appo for Anakin’s current location, stealing a speeder and just zooming as fast as he can and arriving just in time to cut anakin off from the jedi temple and shoot him dead before he kills everyone there is just hilarious
Palpatine: ah yes all jedi in the Coruscant temple will be eliminated by my apprentice. I’m perfectly safe.
Appo, comming palpatine: holy kriff sir, Fox just shot Skywalker dead. Emptied a whole blaster mag on him. He’s still smoldering on the ground, so very kriffing dead. *muffled voice in the background* yeAH WE WERE MEANT TO KILL THE JEDI BUT THIS ONE WAS ON OUR SIDE, COMMANDER, WHAT THE HELL!
Fox: *distant screaming* the order was “kill all jedi”! I killed a jedi! You’re kriffing welcome!
*heated argument in the comm lines while palpatine sweats, glancing at the security footage that shows all jedi from the temple converging to the senate building ready to beat him like a piñata*
idk i think it’s like they say in roger rabbit - “can you do [impossible thing]??” “only when it’s funny”
